If it's the issue of sex, then I don't think they had sex. V-Type infection is contagious thru bodily fluids.

It might be interpreted as something else but, Sheryl bled in this episode and refused Alto to treat the wound. Perhaps she was afraid the infection would spread. The cliche way they treat these things in anime is to suck on the wound. XD

If it's a kiss, then I think it happened. HIV doesn't transmute thru kisses, so I assume V-Type doesn't either.

Um, Alto didn't said anything about her love for _Ranka_. Klan spoke about "his love", in an ambigious way which could refer to his love for his sky, his love for Frontier, or his love for Sheryl, which is strong enough that he would consider killing Ranka in order to protect.

"I love Ranka so much I would like to kill her" makes absolutely no sense in that context.

And that he joined SMS for the power to protect others inspired by Ranka's helplessness is something we already know and directly saw, which has no bearing on the romance.

Sheryl overheard part of their conversation and automatically assumed "his love" referred to Ranka. Sheryl's a ditz by nature and emotionally fragile at the moment. What's your excuse?

Yes i thought they kissed too... but the scene got blurry lollxxxx... but it was clear the their heads getting closer before the end of the shot... perhaps Kawamori wants to spawn doubts and give Ranka fans delusions, Also the implication of sex also to give Sheryl fans delusions that they did it ^^.

Do you understand the dialogues? Where did Alto said he love Ranka? Where did it mention that he and Sheryl did not kiss or make love? When did he say he doesn't love Sheryl? Or did you assume all of this? Remember, to assume it to make an "ass" out of "u" and "me". You're dancing in victory when the series is not even over. Brera is going to turn on the bad side...
I think he will turn on the SMS side with alto at the end but alto is really going to kill his love or is she the one who will save him ?

I have a feeling not many will care about this, but Grace's motives were half explained in this episode.

First of all the Vajra are hiveminded like bees. They have no singular "brain" to speak off. Futhermore this hivemind is a boundless network unhampered by fold dams. This hivemind is the Vajra Quartz Network.

Grace's initial research was to combine her network in conjunction with the vajra fold quartz network to accomplish... something awesome, I guess.

To do this, apparently she wants to engineer someone who can meld with the vajra network. Ranka was a product of this.

Presently, Ranka has melded into the Vajra hivemind, and that has made Grace very very happy. It's possible she has nanomachines in Ranka and by hijacking Ranka she can hijack the Vajra.

It's possible that Ransha Mei is also melded into the network, which would explain why Ranka was able to see her in one episode

Alto's reason of joining SMS due to Ranka - wanting to protect her and stuff

can now be vs to -

Alto's faith in keeping his own destiny into his own hands - which actually strengthened his faith to stay in SMS and be a better pilot and stuff (inspired by Sheryl long before they met in the earlier episodes)

which really motivates him more?

he didn't say he loved her, but klan asked him if he will kill Ranka because he loved her and rather than see her being used by the vajra, he will see her dead! After Sheryl heard that she understand his feelings. He will allow sheryl to sing, but he will go as far as killing Ranka out of love! The paper plane is symbolic, Ranka's paper plane flew, but sheryl's crashed!

i don't really want to say it but right now i think he stayed because of Sheryl and his hobby for shooting Aliens, And also i think for his love of flying because he feels secured if he stayed and become a pilot for NUNS.
