Is this series still ongoing? Or it stops at episode 112?
I just started watching this show! I'm currently at episode 19 only :P
This series is seriously a gem. Comedy yet sometimes dealing with serious and mature issues, at least IMO.

What makes you think it will be ended at 112? Last night the ep. 108 just aired (and 109's preview looks awesome, Yamazaki VS. Katsura).
Well, now we are watching Gintama 3rd year, so I think it will be aired a year not just a season.

ep 60 was absolutely epic!! and im guessing ep 61 with the fight in between Gin and Nizou will be even more EPIC!!! Gosh! i really want to get my hands on the next episode

im telling u guys, unlike bleach/naruto, which spend their time on training, gintama spend the time on character development

shinpachi of course can fight

he train in the dojo since he was little

but the manga never show Shinpachi full power to us

(well, you can see it in Yagyuu arc)

but don't worry. Gintama doesn't have all hocus focus technique which usually show on action shonen series

When the music started playing and Gintoki and Katsura tag-teamed all those pirates, I got the Lagann vibes all over again.
