Because only Makina had access to the documents proving the company's corruption. Before she made the call (which they obviously recorded), Julie had no concrete evidence.

If she tried to incriminate the Irisu Company with just circumstantial evidence and words alone, they could just as easily pay for good lawyers to talk them out of it, or worse, bring down Julie along with them for their connection.

Basically, the two voice actresses who were voicing operators in this episode are also voicing Kuga Yuuma and Miyamori Aoi this season!

For now, two things made me confused
First, Yumiko and Makina have lost every connection to their families. So who pay for their tuition fee and life expense in academy?
Second, why Sachi revert back to calling "Kazami-san"? I think she should call Yuuji as "Yuu-chan" already, right?

Makina gave Yuuji a 70 million yen check and said it was her life allowance, of course Yuuji isn't going to spend it, so she'll be more then fine for a while.

In the anime at least, at the end of Yumiko's route I believe her father mentioned that he'd continue to support the school as he's been doing since that's what Yumiko would have wanted. I also believe she has some money saved up.

So, yeah neither of them is about to be destitute or anything.

Also considering the anime is going for the harem end, I'm pretty sure they weren't trying to imply Makina and Yuuji had sex.

I heard some say Michiru and Yumiko were the least favorite voted by fans, so that's why they got them out of the way first. But wonder if that's just conjecture.

Michiru's actually voted the highest of the main heroines, which probably factored into her getting her own spinoff games. Yumiko, though, does seem to be the least popular of the heroines.

I have mixed feelings on the omission of Yuuji's nightmare. On one hand, it's easily one of my favorite scenes in the story. On the other, I think the scene in question might spoil a little bit too much concerning Yuuji's background, and that it revealed some things that should have been saved for the sequels. It's nice that the anime is keeping Yuuji's past almost a complete blank slate.

Good episode. Yuuji killing off Makina's mother for best moment in the anime so far. Nice to hear that Angelic Howl's going to be three episodes.

Looks like the scriptwriter for these 2 episodes (Takahashi Tatsuya) wanted to include more scenes in the 2nd episode and emphasize the route adaptation better but the director was afraid that they'd had to make another episode for Makina and had exclude all this stuff.

Yuuji shouldn't be able to kill women due to his trauma in his childhood. Which is shown, emphasized and explained in Meikyuu and emphasized again in Rakuen.
And that's why Yuuji ended up dying in the bad ending for killing Makina's mother

Seeing that she wasn't shot and killed onscreen, it's very possible that Makina's mother might be alive

Yeah, I'm the OP of this thread. And the scriptwriter of these 2 episode is experienced enough so he won't do mistake like hinting at inability to kill people in the first episode just to forget about that next week.
That still doesn't change the fact that her arc was still very rushed though...

But she still think of her daughter future and tried to make the best for her.
In other hand, Makina mother's was totally bitch She didn't care a bit about Makina.

ANGELIC HOWL Arc start

It was an okay episode, at least it established the grim situation Amane and the others are in during this flashback. Now the bus scene at the end of episode 1 makes sense. Anyways, I find that Kazuki girl to be pretty interesting so far.

Kinda curious to see who will survive this.
