Haha yeah, definitely, this is a great example of gameplay > graphics, although I'd have to say that Muramasa, looks breath taking.

I get games even if I don't have the systems , I figure that one day there will be a universal system with 100% playback =O jks. But, I'd get to play them one way or another.

Just bought the game. It's awesome as expected and I really love its atmoshere. Graphics are great as everyone knows and specially the colors.
It's not only beautiful : the gameplay is very pleasant and intuitive. System of katana is interessant and to be able to forge our own swords is kinda motivating to gain xp.
However the scenario seems less complex than Odin Sphere's one but characters are still nice. Mmh Momohime and healthy Kongiku

After so long, they finally announced that the enhanced port will now me on the Vita.

Hopefully we can get this in the west, with possibly better translation!

The PS Vita port "Oboro Muramasa" is out

I bought the Collector's edition, it's relatively cheap but aside from the Hori Vita face cover the other collector's stuff aren't good... The face skin that comes with it probably looks better on the black Vita than my Soul Sacrifice Red Vita.

So far I'm still trying to get the hang of the mechanics and which configuration suits me better... Defeated the first boss through sheer attrition is kinda embarrassing Oh and for those who are concern with these things, the dialogues are voiced by the Japanese seiyuus

So Odin Sphere HD remake was rumored 5 years ago. Daaang lol.

Well, anyway, I finally started playing this for the Wii (bought it like last year, but never played it until now). I beat both campaigns and trying to unlock the different endings now. This game is absolutely beautiful. The 2D art is wow. From the characters to the world to the food. ALL. THE. FOOD. The story is eh; it's hard to follow and and pacing feels discombobulated. The English translation is also kind of awkward. Nothing too game-breaking, though.

Also, Yuzuruha 4 life <3.

The PS Vita version of this game is absolutely wonderful. One of the most surprisingly great gaming experiences in recent memory. The DLC with extra playable characters is by far the greatest part about it. Also, I think they buffed up the translation in that version. I found the story quite interesting o:

Yeah, the translation for the Wii U version is very literal. It doesn't sound too flowery like I hear in the Vita version.

That's a shame. I saw lots of gameplay for the Wii version back when it came out but never paid it too much attention. But when I got a Vita a year or so ago, Muramasa Rebirth was the first game I bought, and I loved it. I'm glad you like the Wii version, but I strongly recommend the Vita version if you are one of the 200 people in the world who owns one xD

Maybe I'll steal a Vita one of these days...

Are the names of the blades in English or Japanese for the Vita?

Aside from a very small amount, most are in english. Which I guess is kind of a shame, but a lot of the swords have really cool names regardless. And of course, the Muramasa itself is just called the Oboro Muramasa.
