It should have been obvious it wasn't real, since we all know Usagi's daughter is also called Usagi (Chibiusa). Besides, the manga states she never had a second daughter.

Kinda sad that this isn't the official artwork. It would have been interesting to see how this modern artwork would work with Sailor Moon since I have my doubts that the old art style will work with the younger audience. Even though I like the old one, we will have to see if it really can compete with the newer art styles of the newer animes.

I really hope they keep the original artstyle. I love the remakes of vintage anime that have been coming out these last few years, like Casshern Sins and Shin Mazinger Z, and how they stayed true to the original art but made it really high quality. Gundam Unicorn looks awesome with its retro style too.

Tbh, I'm not too keen on the idea of a Precure styled Sailor Moon, even if Sailor Moon was the archetype for all sentai/mahou shoujo anime. I also think that there is a larger audience in the fans of the original series than a potential new audience, and I personally would feel estranged if the style changed too drastically.

Still, really liked that Chinese fanart and the concept of the next generation of sailor senshi.

While I like the concept of following the next generation (although that could be tricky), I was horrified by that fanart. What did they do to my beloved Rei?! I'm glad that art is just fanart.

I agree with those who want to see a more mature Sailor Moon this time around. Takeuchi's artwork is absolutely gorgeous. I would love to see it animated.

In that fan art, I am wondering why Sailor Venus is made younger than everyone else. Because she started sooner as Sailor V? Yet as an adult they are all 34. So why does Sailor Venus start 4 years younger than the rest?

Though Ami is still fine.

It just means Minako had a child later than the others.

I would rather have an extension of the original story than remake. Though a remake is better than making new cast..

Oh, so they included Parallel Sailor Moon in the new edition of the manga? It used to only be available in the Sailor Moon Materials Collection art book. Another reason to buy the manga now.
