It's depended, really. In this one it's more like a kind of strategy game (building army, sending them to complete quest, or fighting war) than RPG, so I guess I can understand the "generic" feeling.

The named character are mostly the faction you choose. I don't know if you can use them or not.

Glad I'm not the only one to see the blatant resemblance.

Well, there's a valid reason for that.

Yep, both are games by Vanillaware. Same as Muramasa and GrimGrimoire.

Let's not forget Dragon's Crown as well, which will have a Spring 2012 release.

I'm having a blast playing this one, and it's hard if you ask me. Still haven't reached the "War mode" stage yet, so I can't say much, but apparently people are making a huge fuss over it. Basically it's a online mode where you send your team to join the war between 3 factions (which you choose from the beginning of the game, and you can't change it once it's chosen).

Been watching this guy play it, looks fantastic though there doesn't seem much of a plot, or exploration.

Love soundtrack so far.

I got the error code 100 when I tried going to online mode, which is because my IP is outside of Japan. Guess people will have to wait for the NA/EU version instead of importing this one.

Not like online War Mode is that important anyway. I'm just saying.

There's a way to use proxy so that you can play it online...I dont know how to do it though btw, I heard that Logreth owns much in this game because of their...death rain?

Yeah, just found out about this, myself. I have full confidence that XSeed will give this game the awesome localization it deserves, but I'm still hoping that they'll give us an update on the next Trails title (it's kind of guaranteed they're working on it), and possibly that they'll announce a localization of Danganronpa (pretty please....? ).

Awesome news! One thing though, does Xseed usually keep the japanese voice track in their localizations?

The only XSeed localization I've played was Trails in the Sky, and it was all English.

The PSP generally doesn't have the space to spare on a second audio track, sadly.

Considering that RSG was going to base their translation on XSeeD's... it's looking grim to say the least.
