It's the manga, guys. The different manga adaptations are all different from the actual anime.

Its actually more complicated than "not considering them" canon, since there no equivalent word in the Japanese. They consider it "grey" which is essentially halfway point; just like manuals and books and such. The only thing they consider "Official" is the anime. Hard to interprete when you have no word or meaning equivalents in another language. Since we fans mostly "embrace" the extended information given to us by mangas and manuals and such (because the anime is rarely enough to fill an entire universe); even if they are flimsy and constantly retconned, we'll just have to accept them. God forbid, 00F and 00I was a mess to 00 in general yet they're part of the universe.

Unless they're alternate adaptations rather than sidestory that directly contradict the main media (IE the anime); in which case its just easier to brush them off.

Right now they are in the "other" section with the Desperado, rather than the Federation units.

I hardly doubt they're going to introduce a unique suit in AGE-2's timeline without introducing AGE-2 first. Besides, usually suits are revealed a few episodes in advance.

Could be the case, I mean the space is big and it is highly likely that other MS manufacturers exists.
If you look at our world, we have NATO and what not, but most of the members have their own techs and gadget, so it would not surprise me that colonies/states or whatever will have their own techs.

Could be half-Human. With all that cloak, he or she could be augmented or, continuing along the UE lines, green-skinned.

Well, AGE-2 could be battling Identified Enemies as early as the second arc, if Age goes along the UEs are not aliens route.

You can see what looks like UE ships there, and new scenes. Interestingly, also shows the Dodds Rifle being manufactured on the spot from scratch, likely from inside the Diva battleship. I'm assuming this is the mechanism through which the AGE "transforms".

Also, the colony disintegrating and falling apart at the seems

Finally, looks like the Zedas does have a 'dragon mode', it's just less involved than the Gafran's.
