I loved that part too but I hate the Kotarou in that part so much.

While Lucia emo bit is justified since well..uh, she was drugged/hypnotized and the fact that she's still a young girl at heart, I can see why she acts like that. But I think she won't get that far if it's not because of Kotarou that couldn't help her at all and say what she wants to hear from him.

I almost broke my mouse when he keeps spewing nonsense when trying to comfort her by saying that she would be cured one day Even someone like me (who is often called insensitive) noticed that's not the thing that she wants to hear from him

I actually loved that emo part too, consider it as a spice for the whole route and I do love spicy things . At least it wasn't dragged long enough anyway and perspective change really help in expressing the other party thoughts.

To answer this, I finally confirm it myself from the interview they have done in Rewrite Perfect Visual Book. To sum it up
- Romeo and Tonokawa wrote Common route together, with the proportion of 6:4(Romeo:Tonokawa). 6 for Romeo because Muppy-related events and some tiny bits that are trivial or unimportant during Common route are written by Romeo.
- Most people probably know already, but I will just leave this here.
Tonokawa : Chihaya, Shizuru and Moon (10%, mainly the final battle in latter half)
Romeo : Kotori, Akane, Moon, Terra
Ryukishi07 : Lucia

Mind you, I kinda liked the emo bit...it was very justified and reasonable that she would act like that after all that happened. My big problem with it was that it actually ran for far too long, not necessarily Lucia's fault either since Kotarou just kept being mentally challenged half that time. "That's not what she wants to hear, what is wrong with you? Dumbass!" was repeated in my mind a lot as he spoke to her in the mall.
If the emo bit had been shortened just a smudge I'd be just fine with it all. As is I think it was too long and dragged...and when things start dragging on I start skipping them.

There were also minor things like the inconsistencies and plotholes popped up but they were easily forgotten. And I think pushing religion so hard into it was a bit much...if it had been used to this extent in the other routes it would have been fine, however in the other routes we don't get much, if any religious talk (Akane route aside since I just started it) but Lucia's is loaded with bible quotes and the likes...
Again, just a bit jarring but nothing else.

But like I said before, the beginning and middle were simply perfect for me (especially the beginning, I got chills at times...not surprising considering it is Ryukishi with Jun's music backing him up). It actually felt like a completely different VN during a large chunk of it.
The changing view-points were very well put to use, I wish this was done more in other routes...hell even in other VNs! I loved when large chunks of Refrain used it back in Little Busters.

I'm starting Akane's now but so far, Lucia's route far surpasses the other 3 for me xD

Considering she's just a part of Lucia's route, I don't think she would be any relevant in any other routes even if she show up. What actually happened in Lucia's route seems to be exclusive to her routes only (this include route-specific characters).

The only reason I can think of why the route is so isolated from the others, is because Ryukishi apparently was not involved in the development of world setting (from the interview I read in RW Perfect Visual Book). And he was apparently the last writer who picked out which heroine to take (yes, no joke. Romeo said that each writer picked out heroines accordingly, just like picking out cards).

Man...every time I play a heroine route I get Fridge Horror when I think about what happens to some of the other girls.

Namely Kotori...since she's alone in the forest with the key. In god knows what happens to her in Shizuru's route, she gets either nuked or poisoned in Lucia's and well...at least in Chihaya's route she traveling by the end so she's alive.
But damn...during Lucia's route I just thought "Damn, Kotori just got a face full of poison and nuke."

Shizuru ends up fine in the four routes I played...hell, she ends up better in the other heroine routes than in her own route >_>

Chihaya...meh, she's fine every time.

Lucia, well thinking back, she should vanish in the other routes mostly because of her poison I guess...but because her route is so detached from the others it makes things harder.

This happens in nearly every VN of course...just wonder why it hits a bit harder for me in this one =.=

Just finished Terra route. It was a beautiful ending. A bit bittersweet but it was pretty well done. Key's definitely done it again. It's not up to par with some other Key's works but I guess that's to be expected with the lack of Jun Maeda. It really bugs me that

we couldn't even see Kotori and Kotarou at the end of her route. It would definitely be the best route in my book if we had a glimpse of them together. Shizuru definitely stole the show though along with Akane. Plot heavy with apocalyptic ending.

. Now if only I can play HF. There's a serious lack of girls in Terra route so I really need a refresher with HF

I can't imagine how the girls routes would be satisfactory without being mutilated. Many of the routes are mutually exclusive. Kotarou acts very differently in each of them (In Akane's route he is a killer, in Chihaya a shounen hero) and join different factions (Guardian, Gaian or neutral).

It would be total crap no matter which studio.

Hire the original writing team to come up with sort of a unified route that conveys the same information that the heroine routes in the game did, without feeling like a clusterfuck.
So you'd go something like:
First season: Common Route --> Unified Heroine Route --> Moon
Second season: Terra and it'd be really nice if Terra was expanded to two cours as well but given that Romeo actually wanted to cut it down I don't see that happening
Really, this is the only sane option. Doing all of the heroine routes will never work, they're far too long and cover too much of the same material, and if you think that they'd have to animate them of course an anime seems like a terrible idea.

The "easier" and "safer" point would be the common route told by Kagari, explaining what several outcomes might appear. At the end of a heroine route, you see kagari changing the course of a "life line branch" into another one.
But that means you have barely enough episodes with a 2 cour for all the heroines. You better keep moon and terra for a S2.
