Does make me wonder though about the logic of giving everyone green cards. At that point people are bound to start saying "hey maybe the other guys got these." Though of course A group has reached a point where most should understand what is going on so maybe this is just for fun and thus why Mutta's orders were so random.

Team B is one heck of a nightmare at times. Swear if I was stuck in space with that one jerk I'd throw him out an airlock.

Duragram meteorite scam was no match for Makabe.
It was interesting info though.
The toilet problem for Mutta's team was LOL
Mutta's green card sure came with an interesting task.
The stress levels are getting slowly higher with each day.

It doesn't really matter if they know who is behind a particular problem. They still have to deal with these problems. Knowing that Nitta was behind the toilet incident didn't really help, for example. The purpose of the green cards isn't to make the candidates distrust each other, but to put them in extraordinary situations in order to see how they react when something goes wrong.

I agree, that jerk is really annoying, but you could say that putting up with him is also part of the test. Not everybody has an accommodating personality. Still... what an ass that guy is!

That guy in Team B is such a dick, imagine being stuck on a multi-year trip to Mars with him. I couldn't even last two weeks without having words with him, and that line telling Makabe he should withdraw would have been the final straw.

So disappointed and content with Mutta's green card. On one hand, I was expecting something way more serious, so that we can get more drama. On the other, it was pretty hilarious, especially with him being all embarassed after.

At this point JAXA knows that Team A (and probably B) has figured out the green card scam. So now what they're observing is how people deal with weird stuff, knowing the cause of it.

Yeah, the trouble with the green cards is that they were initially to cause stress among one's companions, but that won't work with Mutta now. So they gave him a green card to cause stress specifically for him.

^I don't care for Nitta, personally. The one I want to pass no matter what is Fukuda. He deserves it.

I don't know why he'd deserve it more than anyone else on the team, even compared to Nitta. Sounds more like he's taken a sympathy vote from many viewers because: 1.) he's old, and 2.) JAXA should pass him because he hasn't given up on his dream.

No offense, but I've seen the same kind of crappy emotional appeal when selecting contestants for American Idol, even though some of those contestants were just bad singers. They passed as emotional fodder and got eliminated fairly quickly after that. I'm sure Fukuda is in the right state of mind to go into space, but the matter of fact is that he's old and has underperformed in some departments compared to his other teammates. He's valuable as a team player, that much is certain, but I have my doubts because of his age. I mean, you could say the same for Mutta, and he's much younger.

Then again, I'm not sure whom I'd pick in JAXA's shoes. I wanted to say Nitta and Mutta, but so far the series hasn't given us all that much information about the astronaut wannabes anyway.

^You're completely right. It's not like I'm qualified to judge who has the set of skills required to become an astronaut anyway. I like Fukuda because he's a hard worker who has sacrificed a lot for his dream and has never given up.

And I don't know about him being too old. If that were the case, wouldn't they have disqualified him right away? If he's in the final group, then that means he deserves to be there. He has as much chances as any of the other candidates, imo.

I'm happy the flashbacks are back. They are one of my favorite part of the series.

The members of team A have grown very close. Even Nitta was cool in this ep. Team B is also starting to bond, or at least some of its members are (unsurprisingly, Moziguchi is not among them). For a moment I thought Moziguchi would get the same green card as Mutta, which would have been pretty funny to see

The exam is most likely going to end next week, but we probably won't know the results until episode 21.

Mutta's little food announcement was kinda fun.
Interesting how that brought them even closer together.
Flashback to Mutta's childhood was interesting and fun to watch.
They really had fun making Udon.
There is a difficult decision in front of them...
