I'm not very fond of the second ending theme, it's not as exciting as the first one but it's still great in its own, plus Elisa's voice was great.

It's a nice song. I prefer this ending sequence as well. It's nice seeing the characters collected, going through different expressions. The previous ending sequence felt a bit generic and slightly bland.

The second ending song is really eerie. And combined with the animation everybody seemed to receive a death flag! I'm so worried now...

Well, Boku Janai is definitely better, in my opinion.
I would like the second ending more if it could stay like the very beginning. I really like the tune there, reminded me a bit of Zektbach.

I didn't like it tooooo much at the beginning, but it grew on me. Though I would still say Boku Janai is better.

My preference too is for the 1st ED, "Boku Janai", over that of the 2nd ED, " Soba Ni Iru Yo" . The first one feels more appropriate to this series.

The BGM during the whole early part of the fight scene from the moment Haruto launches to when Saki starts to get in on the action was pretty fantastic. I love how it builds up over the launch sequence and then really gets going along with the fight. I've heard it used before during the 2nd episode, but it worked especially well here and we got what sounded like the full track. Really looking forward to this soundtracks release date. There's one track from the trailer I really liked though that has yet to be used in the show proper which has me thinking it's going to be used for a really big moment, possibly a cliffhanger to close out the season.

I'd link it but for some reason Sony in their infinite wisdom decided to file a copyright claim against their own PV trailer and it's been taken off youtube now and I can't find it elsewhere.

Nice! Looking forward to it. If the latest episode shows anything, Akira Senju still can't compose action themes to save his life, but well, at least he can deliver on the gloriousness. That's all I'm really hoping for anyway.

And lengthy tracks. If Senju gets a chance to compose more than just cues, we could be in for quite a ride. Most of favorite Senju tracks tend to be of the lengthier variety anyhow.

I still remember last week how all of Valvrave's OP and ED songs were among the top 20 songs in Japan's music charts.

Looking back on the season and listening to the opening I've noticed that unlike a lot of shows with hit pop songs used for an intro it really does seem to tie into the plot and where it appears to be going:

As they overlap during many a short dream
The flowers try to achieve eternity
but alas for it's a false eternity
I pass onto you the preserved roses
Symbols of loneliness from those that have been imprisoned

All I want to do is get rid of this thing that well within me
You can't just complain about everything being cold

Finished listening to the original soundtrack a short while ago. Kind of a dull soundtrack if I'm completely honest. It had a few notable tracks such as the first one, but outside that it's one of those deals that's strictly suited to being in the background of something in my opinion.
