Honestly, I'd like to hear what Kamachi has to say about the volume, so I actually like to read the afterword first. It sometimes carries insights from the author that we wouldn't be able to see in the volume itself, and I wanna know Kamachi's plans for shoving Mikoto into the world of magic.

Mikoto chose to be at Touma's side and fight for him no matter who the enemy is.

Also, this just means that she will need to learn about it along the way. It is a different approach for the similar result.

Yeah, Afterwords can change my whole look on the novel. A shame they are always translated the last but than again, they are supposed to be read the last I guess...

well I loose interest in reading NT 3 from the time being. I will wait for further spoiler or a good summary after I passed my judgement on it.

Once again like in NT vol 2 it another ending with Misaka and touma in vol 3!! Because if you see the second picture in the middle after opening the Spoiler Link! you see that the picture is near the end of the novel! Any thoughts people?

There are at least four new characters.

The one I mentioned earlier named Sandrion, Robert Katze, an unnamed brown girl and the girl in Nayrael's third image.

It is no secret that Kamachi likes teasing/annoying/trolling the shipping fans. I think he even admitted it :P

So we already touched on Kamachi's possible motivations for throwing Mikoto into the magic world like he did. What role do you think she'll play, and what role do you want her to play?

I personally think she'll end up as a nice contrast to Index, in the sense that she'll take a far more active role, but will be out of her league as the inexperienced newcomer with a hotheaded attitude that'll end up causing massive problems until she learns more about the world she's in now.

Armed battles are legal in ToAru's USA you see...

Seriously tough, Shipping is a term used for supporting "romantic" pairings.

As for the discussion, well, we have to remember that GREMLIN is not purely magic. Radiosonde Castle is a testament that they're not afraid to use science to take out their enemies, so it's Mikoto's job to inform them about scientific stuff that Touma can't provide. However, Mikoto only knows half of Academy City, and we don't know if she would be the last to be dragged into the Darkness for good.

She will fire some Railguns, see Accel, throw some Railguns, try to rage at Accel but see Worst, ship some Railguns, get trolled by Worst, use some Railguns, search for Touma, give some Railguns around, find Touma, play with some Railguns and give her best to not turn back into a Side Character... all while showing the World some Railguns.

Hopefully she will actually learn about the world of Magic rather than stay oblivious by some miracle as in previous volumes and Railgun novels...

EDIT: possibily, Touma will manage to run away and she will be stuck with Accel, Misaka Troll and that Catgirl. Golden Comedy guaranteed
