Now I'm just trying to remember at which point the franchise went from "killing moves in order to FINISH THEM" to dealing impossible wounds that the fighters don't even register. I know that it's a conscious choice that cranks ridiculousness up to 11, but it would be nice to actually have injuries as a game mechanic - it would give the game a more realistic touch (not that they're going for it, but whatever).

It's amazing how much this music doesn't fit.

Anyway, I wonder if it will have Injustice 2's character customization. And seeing how we have 2 versions of Scorpion here, the probability of that is pretty high.

I am surprised this is coming to the switch. that is good though. it is a pretty fun game to play on the go/in short spurts.

Netherrealm outdid themselves with this one, and it leaves so much hype for the future of the series - incredibly excited for what is to come!

Spoiler for Seriously, spoilers!:

The implications of this ending are huge - technically, everyone is dead save Liu Kang and Kitana... Obviously, with the start of the "New Era", we should expect some 'returns' - but in what fashion? So hyped for the "New Era" of Mortal Kombat!!!

After how those two were treated during the MKIII portion of Mortal Kombat 2011 and MKX (which definitely upset me, as Kitana is one of my favorite MK characters), they definitely deserve the better treatment in this game.

Yeah, definitely. And still, so much catharsis for so many characters - like Jackie and Jax. But even so, to leave the entire cast to the past is pretty crazy (you'd think Kano would go out in a better way, for example). There is still so much history and konflict that is begging to be explored, but I suppose that really shows how well all of the characters have been presented.

It's gonna be hella funny that Kitana and Liu Kang are basically gods in the next installment: I wonder how they are going to break the news to the next breed of kombatants - especially when none of the kombatants will really remember them. It's kinda sad that they've ended up forgotten by all of their friends in the end of all of this.

Basically the game's gore gave the developers PTSD.

I love how they got the actor who played Shang Tsung in the MK movie to motion capped and voice the character for the game as well.

Also, they confirmed, Nightwolf, Sindel and Spawn will be coming as well. And judging by the soundtrack for the next two secret characters, Ash from Evil Dead and the Terminator are also coming.

I hope they can get Arnold Schwarzenegger, Keith David and Mark Hamill to reprise their roles as The Terminator, Spawn and Joker respectively for MK11.

I have a feeling that based on the trailer they’ll just do what they did for Injustice 2 and just have Richard Epcar voice Raiden and Joker. It’s ok though, his Joker isn’t half bad.

Catching up with this game. Guess Ed Boon didn't like X at all considering what happens to most of its characters with Raiden disappearing.
