I guess I prefer my traps more on the moe side - Mako-chan, July (briefly) - heck, even Ciel. Alois' whole sex kitten routine seems a bit off-putting to me.

I am not sure, but I am guessing maybe Sebas grew to like Ciel? They have always had a seemingly father-son relationship.

I never really thought of Ciel as moe unlike someone like Jun, for example. I don't like moe in general so, I guess that's one reason Alois appeals to me. I do like cute, however; it's just moe is a bit overkill to me.

The romantic in me says the Sebby grew to admire Ciel so much, in the end he thought it would be a terrible waste to leave his soulless and bereft. I imagine the contract says that he had to take Ciel's soul - but not that he couldn't put it back later...

But, I doubt they'll suddenly go into some kind of SebbyxCiel romance in the Kuroshitsuji II.

I think it will be the same relationship as it was in season 1. There will be teasing fanservice scenes, but that's about it imo. If we are lucky we might get something as nice as a certain scene from the manga, but that's about it.

This was absolutely brilliant.

My strong guess is that Alois and Claude are going to be the main villains for season 2. Alois essentially wants the whole world engulfed in darkness. Also Alois is a reflection of Ciel in that Alois is what Ciel could have been if Ciel had given in to his own tragic life. The best villains are usually a mirror for the hero. Note how Ciel also went through horrific things and never lashed out like that to his own servants. Claude is also an equal in combat to Sebastian so Sebastian won't just steamroll over everybody. I love how they trolled everybody and showed some background on the very likely villains as well as the differences.

Then there is the symbolism in the beginning with the butterfly which I take it to represent Ciel and the spider being Alois. I guess this is to represent how Alois had Ciel's soul which was trapped in the ring.

One thing I noted about the preview is that Ciel is swimming to rescue Elizabeth instead of Sebastian which could imply a powershift in their relationship in that Sebastian could possibly refuse orders from Ciel.

I would laugh so hard if they kept the villains as the OP. The ED is pretty beautiful too.

Well we'll have that with the DVD only episode, 'Ciel in Wonderland', but yeah i'm hoping it's not long before Ciel's in his adorable pink dress again. Then i can change my avatar to fit the occasion. <3
