I'm guessing it was more of a way for the master to go all out on his own terms and die in an actual duel to the death rather than die 'peacefully'. Ye olde Burn out in glory before puttering out.

It maybe the prophecy but remember Mamoru's personality is to try to fight destiny. Besides the future can be changed as it is not set in stone, so you never know maybe in the future when Haruka grows up some more she will find someone else to marry.

Can Mamoru actually hear heartbeats? His hearing is fairly accurate since he's able to tell small things like increased breathing or people holding their breath, but actual heartbeats?

Wiseman's getting pretty crafty in sending a well coordinated team that uses cover to keep Mamoru at bay. And then the little something 'extra' appears. Remember the adage of bringing a gun to a knifefight? Welllll they bring in a tank. (granted, it's an old WII Japanese model, but updated with modern weaponry) Gonna be insane to see how this turns out.

You have to give Wiseman credit, he changes his plans if they dont work out and takes advantage of every little area that is possiable to even include taking away his hearing by the loud gunshots is great thinking. Mamoru has his work cut out since his kantana has been shortened quite a bit ^^; As good as his abilty to sense danger and whats coming.. bringing in a tank! ... Genius. Still I half expecting Mamoru to doge it but his kantana got hit by the tank!

I always find it amusing that Mamoru's name means to protect but more often than not its Haruka whos protecting him lol. You know your a bad ass when the enemy has to send a tank to stop you normally i would say this is over kill but its Momoru were talking about. If i was his enemy i would nuke the surrounding the area just to make sure i got him. lol
