you mean Asuna and Kirito forcing their feelings on Asuna's family. You know she's well off and has to marry into upper class blah blah blah, Love arrangements is only a recent thing in human history you know? Last edited by Daniel E.; 2012-10-13 at 21:28. |

I am pretty sure it is legal, although not something ususally done. Note that marriage in Japan consists of only turning in a form to the local town hall. Any cermony is just optional. Considering that Asuna is incapacitated so would her parents most likely have the right to sign any documents for her.

I think the assumption is that she consented before she got put in the coma. That she was an obedient daughter who agreed to have an arranged marriage with this guy when she grew up. And she passed the legal age for marriage while she was asleep.

Anyway, there's no point in arguing about this. In the real world this is clearly illegal and makes no sense but Kawahara wouldn't let that bother him. It suits his story, so we have to deal with it either way.

Just finished watching the episode and will have more thoughts, but just wanted to get that cleared up. He is engaged to her, but he's not going to marry her right now since he can't. See starting at about 13:30 in Episode 15.

lol - "it can't be helped". It might be nice if people could reserve judgement and see the content for themselves (in a way that they can understand) before they rush to conclusions about the details of the plot and get into big arguments about it. Just sayin'...

The new OP and ED are great. I like them more than the old ones. The OP animation sequence is awesome, but those action obscuring credits are annoying..
Suguha's such a great little sister. She's adorable.. but methinks her rack is a little too big.. Well, I don't really mind.. Now, now. Don't be hating on mah OTP. ;p |
