There are 9 novel volumes out so far, not 6. It's still ongoing as well.

I just posted that two posts up...

And it's not confirmed, nothing is ever confirmed until we hear it directly from the animation company.

Heh, if this is true, then the animation studios have learned that filler episodes are not the way to go if the manga serialization is still going.

I just watched all 13 episodes of Zero, but after reading the forums and looking up some summaries for some of the novel volumes of Zero I can't help but feel that it could've been much greater. It's cool that there will be a second season, but I think I will try and pick up the novel when it gets translated or scanslate.

There's a novel and a manga. Differences? Or are they one in the same? Is the novel just text, any pictures?

Well, the novel is the original story upon which both the anime and manga are based, so if you want the most complete story, the novel's where to look. Light novel series consist of mostly text with the occasional illustration (1 illustration per 20-30 pages of text, roughly?). You can obviously learn a lot more about these novels in the ZnT Novel Thread. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info rflame. I read Sushi-y's summary's, and the novel is awesome. I also downloaded the first chapter of the scanslation of the manga. The manga doesn't look to be drawn very well. I hope it'll be faithful to the novel at least. The anime doesn't do the novel justice at all.

Who knows, maybe that photoshopped Saito vs 70,000 image will become a reality.

Although I don't think most audiences here care much for this, the "Zero no Tsukaima on the radio" program has been revived once more as a "winter special" for this second season announcement.

Kugimiya-san going all haa haa over the amaou strawberries was moe~
Hino-san failing the "personal questions about Kugimiya Rie" quiz and watching her eat all the strawberries was even more moe~

Still, it's nice to see(hear?) the two of them getting along nicely. ^^ The radio will be returning 1/27 and continue monthly until the start of second season, where it will return back to a regular weekly schedule. ^^

Hmm...I finished the second novel and decided to try the anime...It's like...they clipped out scenes that would have been difficult to animate? I don't know...the novel is so much better than the anime...

It was painful to see scenes dropped/added/severely changed when I really liked the original scenes. Ah well~ I'll just buy the next novel..

I found this much easier then reading the novels it seems with me using Kanji and a Jap dict as a guide. Still it a fun to listen to even if i can only understand 60% of it. I cant wait til Season 2, and before that Chinese release of Zero Vol 9 and 10.

man is it just me or does Zero remind you of Harry Potter?! I mean look at the castle for wizards, the principal looks like Dumbledore and staff of magical destruction kept in school hinting at philosopher's stone?!
