Live-Action DBZ Set to Shoot in Montreal

Live-Action DBZ Set to Shoot in Montreal

Shooting will begin shortly for 20th Century Fox's upcoming live-action adaptation of Dragonball Z. The budget for the film is estimated to be at least US$100 million.

Also on the Montreal Gazetter where the news comes from:

Dragonball Z is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama; the work was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world. It tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys.

There are no details yet as to when shooting will begin, but they are expected to wrap production by next July.

Never though they would go ahead and actually make this movie.

It's gonna be a crack to watch, regardless of how it turns out in the end.

Here's a pic for old times sake.

Not related to the movie..... or so I think.

What will be the chance that this might be good? I would say that it has same chance as war in Iraq ending ending tomorrow.

So wait up..the faith of the world which resides in the hands of Goku will be made.. In Canada? Meh, to be honest, the anime series in my point of view was already poor enough, that it couldn't really get worst(only manga was actually decent in my point of view), at least we'll get some flashy effects.

IMO the only win element in the whole entire movie is mecha action, the rest pretty much sucked to me like michael bay, the main character, story. maybe the movie wasn't really worser than the old transformers but it completely destroyed the awsome image it had in my memories

So some official information? I remember hearing about a live action years ago. I'm suprised their going through with it. I'm not so much of a DBZ fan anymore but the be completely honest I'm curious as hell.
