The whole thing about microtransactions was hilarious, but once it got onto anthropomorphised game characters, I fear it's only a matter of time before "Doki Doki Poo Boys" jumps to reality (if only as a laugh).

That was seriously funny, I have to say. I wonder if anybody is watching, even in Japan.

Just another hilariously "meta" episode. I actually LOL'd on occasion watching this, something I do only rarely. "No one even watches TV Tokyo!"

This show has really strong production values despite its simplistic style. The OP is a good example, and the outer space OP was a hoot.

Is there any relationship between "Rerere no Re" and Kitarou's "Gegege no Ge?"

I swear I wouldn't know Sakurai Takahiro is voicing Unagi-Inu if I hadn't looked at the ANN cast list.

OH, man - to me that's Sakurai to a T. I could never mistake that voice for anybody else.

Interesting question about Rerere - never occurred to me.

I always associate Sakurai first with the menacing voice he used in Mononoke.

I was only able to get up to episode three last night, but man I laughed every episode. Another stellar revival.

Yep, recognized Sakurai immediately. It did take my a second to recognize Toshiyuki Morikawa as Honkan though.

Spoiler for Special Guest Appearance...?:

The second part was even funnier and self-deprecatory.

I so badly want that to have really been him, but... Sadly, no.

I did tweet on request, tho. I'm not heartless.

Do you think they at least got his permission before featuring him so prominently in this episode?

Well, Adachi did a promo panel when the manga was announced, and they got the voice of Tatsu from Touch to voice him. So I’m pretty sure he was in on the joke 100%.

I caught up on the last three episodes. Episode four will forever hold a place in my heart.. I swear this show. But every episode was brilliant.

It's unfortunate that there doesn't appear to be more people watching. I would have at least thought that people who watched and enjoyed Osomatsu-san would check this out. Perhaps the drawing style isn't "updated" enough.

Also, this isn't the sort of series that's likely going to inspire doujin events every weekend.

What a strange and remarkable episode. Adult Hajime was a hoot. But, man, it was depressing. Did Bakabon no Mama die? There wasn't a shrine, just the photograph with the flower, so maybe she left after the kids grew up?

Depressing and yet it worked so well. Pretending to go out to play only to actually be going to work really does sound like something only Bakabon no Papa would do.

Kind of a shame this show isn't seeing the same sort of love Osomatsu-san did, because it's quite clever and even brilliant sometimes in its own way. Thought this week's "forced ending" was great.

On the plus side, it did make it to Kyoto Anime Manga Fair.

OK, pretty funny that they got Yoshiki (for real this time) and Nagisa Katahira for the finale. But how the hell did they get Sanrio to agree to Kitty-chan appearing?

I thought the show lagged a bit in the last two episodes, but it was a surprise to see the real Kitty-chan appear.
