Actually it does. It's not the name of the manga or the animation... a lot of people use "Origins" for some bizarre reason.

So why do people fight, anyway?
Perhaps the meaning of existence lies within their will to fight.
People feel a sense of accomplishment through battle.
And it’s also a fact that the ones actually fighting are never perceived as being tainted.

I still call it "Glory of the Defeated"; "The Glory of Losers" sounds ridiculous to me. I don't really care too much if someone adds a single letter to a title.

In the case you cited, "Glory of the Defeated" and "Glory of Losers" are both perfectly viable translations of 敗者たちの栄光. "THE ORIGIN" is in English :/

Hmmm.....if it's not actually called Origin then I really suggest somebody change the thread's name on Mechatalk. It certainly isn't helping.

Eh, I don't think so. We have had only one image where the designs have come from, the rest are just cleaned up from that. We're far from even looking like they're a an official design because anyone under the sun could be working on them.

Not that I don't wish the designs aren't real because I like AGE-2 a lot.

I was referring to the poster someone posted of the AGE-1 with two silhouettes above Frite's descendants. They match the line-arts pretty well...

If they do, that still doesnt mean anything because a fan could have designed these designs after the silhouettes rather than the silhouettes being designed after the actual designs/or whatever stages they were in. I'll believe it when it actually appears on the official site or when its official unveiled and for the moment its not even if these turns out to be the actual designs.

If they're fake, it's a damn good doctoring.

In terms of the actual suit design themselves? Yeah, I agree.

Not so much on them misspelling Spallow as Spark though.

I'm amazed that people are shocked at the "fake" pics. Remember when some Japanese person swiped that art from the one Korean blog, passing it off as new SEED material?

Its not a misspell. It says "スパーク(仮)", which basically mean that "Spark" is/was a temporary name, and the document was from before they decided to name it Spallow.

If anything this shows that the scan is real, because how would anyone come up with that?

Notice that there seems to be what appears to be an old version of the "Gundam AGE" logo on the upper left corner too.

It certainly is not the stuffs for the older audience.

For some reasons like that, I guessed I do agree what Ring of Gundam implied,
that is to let Gundam take a real break. I also guessed it will be there soon
after all these craps fall in pieces.
I just want to know how people can make such emphatic matter of fact statements about something that has zero actual content yet like this. That's what gets me the most, not that people are shitting on it (I'm long since used to that sort of thing from Gundam 00), but that they are absolutely 100% convinced that they are fully justified in making broad sweeping generalizations about Gundam AGE.

I'll continue to say this, I am a long time Gundam fan that has been up and down the entire franchise numerous times (and yes I know that sounds really dirty and is probably going to get me called Sunrise's bitch again but whatever) and just looking at the trailer I get nothing but the sense that it looks to have a Gundam series gravitas. Once again I encourage people to pay special to watch the trailer again and pay attention to the type of content and the music being used, not just the character designs and other superficial stuff which frankly after watching the first Gundam movie again look a LOT like the designs used for some of the more minor characters in that film. Watch the trailer, and people...tell me specifically what doesn't jump out at you as something that looks like what you'd expect to see in a Gundam series. I think the time has come for the critics to stop throwing out vague generalizations and to actually make some specific charges towards what exactly they think comes across as shitty in the trailers if they want to be taken even remotely seriously.

However I definitely want to make a particular point about something in the context of this post:

What an incredibly selfish if typical perspective for someone criticizing Gundam to have. It even has the usual grammar issues going on, but that's ultimately beside the point even if it's something that I think is worth pointing out for being so common as well in Gundam bashing posts. Let's focus on the real issue here though....so basically because you're butthurt over something to do with Gundam, you think that Gundam should take a break when nobody else is really asking for it? Perhaps it's not Gundam that needs to take a break from you, but you that needs to take a break from Gundam. How does that sound?

Looking at the pic of a rare organize team formation made me interesting something. Its seem to me the writer wants something different. Imagine like other series they always using the Gundam to carrying all the task itself without needed any support or summoning other units its makes me feel unchallenge. Well of course the show is purpose for Gundam anyway.

Children's series or not, as long as I find it enjoyable, I'll watch it.

Plus, I need some fresh Gundam action after 00 ended and the super long waits for Unicorn's episodes.

Man, it'd be good to get some confirmation of these designs soonish. We need to know if they're legit or not so we can discuss them properly XD
Even if that's not official, it'd be awesome if AGE-3 did have a super-heavy, ZZ-ish design to it like that. Them big chunky designs are always appealing to me.
And if they're not your thing, then AGE-2 might be going the sleek n' slender route, so win-win?

Probable future Newtype like character, calling it right now. Girl is a dead ringer for Tifa Adil if that is indeed a ponytail in the back too.

Unless the first one ends up having a harem at the end of his timeline.

Well, at least the kiddish debate would be put to rest.
