Remember that the manga is licensed, do not post significant parts of the chapter. This includes images, scripts and direct translations of the manga. Summaries are OK, crops of pictures are OK (only if you need to illustrate your point) but this is it.

If this is true than Sanji's dignity has reached a whole new level of mockery....which I completely love! Oda really has it in for him.

I've had a feeling that this Merman Island arc would focus more on him, what with the possibility of finding leads on All Blue and all. Now I can't wait for Sanji's reaction.

Time is meaningless in the One Piece Universe. Either the Strawhats have been on the Grand Line about 3 months if not a shorter amount of time, or a little over a year if not longer. well this sure solve a lot of problem, but it create a few others:

Problem solved:
1- Why luffy got surprised and recognized Duvel face..
2- How did this one piece character destroy Duvel life .. because since he got the bounty face of sanji he will be chased by Marines and bounty hunters all his life.
3- also how duvel as a giant can't possible reach east blue and he is sure not one of the past enemy or their companion.

but it create a few problem:
1- Like how Duvel has been searching for him for quite sometimes and specially since he got to that place a month ago and formed the fly... whatever their name is
2- what does the bounty poster have with the pain in his back!! unless someone hit him because of that bounty !!! maybe former girlfriend

but i like this turn of events and hope it is really a true spoilers.. since it is still Tuesday.

The most ironic part about all of this(if this spoiler turns out to be true) , is that technically both sides of the "Duval's identity" argument were right. Duval is someone we've seen before, and at the same time he's someone completely new.

If Duval really has Sanji's face, things are really interesting. It would make a ridiculous joke on Sanji for one. Unless it is explained more clearly, the previous talk of pain and years searching might just be crazy talked designed to drive us mad. It's just original enough that I wouldn really even mind the outrageousness of it.
We also have to consider shape shifting fruits. We know mr.2 or balletguy has one. Perhaps Duval can look at wanted posters and adapt. He could cycle through all the faces, fighting Luffy with his own crews skills. Hopefully quickly.

or maybe this whole string is pure comedy

aint devil fruits supposed to be unique? only 1? so it cant be a shape shifting devil fruit since mr2 already has it

Similar doesn' have to be identical. He could have the poster poster fruit. Act like anyone in a poster; or the kiss kiss fruit, he looks like that cause of a kissy face. A fruit can encompass anything you can imagine, and change its users in ways we can't... or he could just look like Sanji's bounty picture.

For crazy powers, it would be mirror mirror ability. He can copy anyone faces but in reverse as mirror. Mr 2 could completely change the whole body.
He can only change his face when he sees a picture. He was seeing the new SH bounties and during that time a random event took over and burned the bounties posters. He was probably playing with the pictures. And he got the face of Sanji for ever. Since he probably also lost his original picture of him. That would explain why he has the same eyebrown but in different side.

nah.. that wouldn't explain why his life was destroyed .. most likely his face and the picture of Sanji bounty are the same.. meaning that in one night he became from normal citizen to a wanted man thanks to Sanji and he doesn't have the ability to change it that's why he wear the mask...

Also i am pretty sure he didn't see SH bounties since from his talk with Hacchi, Duvel really didn't know the strength of SH, in other word he only heard about someone from SH called Black Leg Sanji, that the bounty face is the same as his face...

And as far as the ministory goes, the government is searching for CP9....
