I agree, we saw Kallen scanes cuffed and in a dress, we know she is a prisoner
we are speculating on her playing a role for Nunnally because Nunnally met her in prison
the caged bird represents Kallen, under the protection of Nunnally but at the same time locked up and un able to do anything

Well, as I said, I CAN see her fight ot protect Nunnally - she knows how important she is to Lelouch. So, yes, at most I think Kallen might (temporarily or permantently) become Nunnally's knight...

and the red cape covering (shielding ?) nanali means kallen acting as her knight to protect her

Kallen will replace Suzaku as Nunnally's Knight. (Suzaku sucks at protecting, Kallen has saved Lelouch ass plenty of times) When Schneizel makes his move, Suzaku will side with him.

Haha, true enough, he's more eager to go for Zero's head than stay at Nunnally's side . Also, it'd be the perfect chance/environment for any talks about Lelouch coming up...

I agree, Suzaku didn't save Euphy after all, Kallen is 10times better than him.

Anyway, if Kallen really becomes Nunnally's Knight, she's tied closer together with the two siblings for sure. And as I said.. Lelouch won't mind her as Nunnally's knight, if that's what she'll become. He knows that she's more competent for that role than old "KILL ZERO!"-Suzaku...

I'm more interested in Kallen's presence, in the OP, when they show Gino, her, Anya, and then Nina. Had Nina not been there, I'd have said: "Those who change sides." With Nina there, I can't seem to find a good description of what all four have in common. Traitors? Betrayal? But those don't fit Nina at all as she's head over heels for Euphie's empire.

Could be from the indicator that she is on Britannian side atm
them shown together will probably mean that she will converse with the three of them, catfight with Nina etc. and that they actually get to know each other even a little

Nina's prestence is indeed ... puzzling. I don't easily see her changing sides even if she learns of Lelouch's identity, but then, again, I thought the same for Orange (though if that turns out to be true or not remains to be seen). Maybe she'll join Nunnally instead of Schneizel after learning the true extent/horror of her new weapon?

Anyway, concerining those four, I'll really think that Sunrise/Tanaguchi is fucking with us if they have a sort of theme of the most loyal/dedicated ones switching sides - that's just too fucked up
