I will some day. I started studying Japanese a couple of weeks ago. So when I finally get to where I can read it without a problem. Maybe I will just get the originals.

You've gotta be kidding me. Seems like someone upstairs is trying to keep me from getting the light novels. I (thought I) ordered the first four from Barnes and Noble, but, as it turns out, I only got the fourth light novel. I ordered the first three manga volumes by mistake. Then I go to Borders thinking that I can get them there, and this happens. *sigh*

They are not all closed. As part of their bankruptcy they closed a bunch, and I don't honestly expect them to be around this time next year, but there are plenty of Borders stores still around.

They are liquidating stores left and right (226 stores). If they don't find a bidder on there assets they will probably go out of business entirely. They have until the end of August I think to get something done before the courts pull the plug.

However they had over 500 stores, so some still exist...but that might not be for long. Most if not all the old Waldenbooks have probably closed down by now.

I wouldn't read too much from that; HK comes up with some pretty cool looking designs so they get used a lot whenever "badass looking gun" is needed. The MP5 is 45 years old and you still see it everywhere.
