Galaxy Angel II: Mugen Kairou no Kagi
For those of us fans who are waiting for this to come out, our time shall finally come on October 18 of this year, marking the release of the fifth game in the Galaxy Angel series.
I finally found a promo movie for this game, which revealed some very interesting things: http://notwitha.blogspot.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQJcaezwRu8 With Noa's appearance in the movie, it seems she'll play an actual role in this game, as opposed to the brief cameo she got in Kazuya's flashback of her in GA II 1. As others probably have found out, there's a sixth female character being introduced in this game. Whether or not she'll be an Emblem Frame pilot, I haven't seen any confirmation or info, although I would assume such. The movie shows who I think to be Coco, apparently promoted to the captain of the Luxiole. I say "who I think to be" because she looks slightly different, having her hair hanging long without a braid and not wearing glasses anymore (as well as a slightly different uniform), but I am 99% positive it's her. We also see several new EDEN military cast members as well. Which brings up the possibility that Tact has been routed to a side role in GA II 2, possibly at a desk job? While I'll miss his hilarious personality and awesome skills, I'm cool with it as long as they show a good and gracious scene of him with his Angel at some point(s) in GA II 2. Finally, at the end of the movie, we see 8 lights which I assume are the Emblem Frames, but even if the new girl becomes another Emblem Frame pilot, that would bring the Rune Angel Troupe up to 7 pilots, so it seems we'll be getting another pilot as well. Or so it seems, anyway. As for the game release itself, it will be released in three editions: a normal edition, a deluxe edition, and a "Zettai Mugen no Ishizue Set" edition. No details yet on what the exact differences are between the three editions.

And now the MKnK main page has finally been turned into a real webpage instead of an advertisement stub.
http://www.broccoli.co.jp/ga/game/ga22/index.html From the picutres on the site, it looks like MKnK will actually use revamped character scenes, unlike in Moonlit Lovers and Eternal Lovers in the first game series where the character stills were reused in the sequel games. Not that there was anything wrong with that, though. And Takuto is shown in a scene in the little video box on the main page, so he does indeed show up. (yay! ) I'll upload some of the new screenshots tomorrow/today. Imageshack is being a b**ch right now and won't let me in. >.>

It looks like Natsume is getting a NEUE style Emblem Frame, while Rosel (the new male pilot, apparently) uses an EDEN style Emblem Frame, judging by the cockpit layouts of the respective Frames. The combat system also seems to be getting a revamp, with some of the old GA games' battle system mixed in. WHich is a good thing, as I kind of liked the older combat system a bit better. And wow, five years sure did a lot for Noa. I still can't get over how different she looks.

_______________ Taken from the website... So the Zettai Mugen set comes with the regular editions of both games? Or did Atlas misinterpret it wrong? Oh, and does shop.broccoli.co.jp ship to the US? Last edited by Iskatar; 2007-09-26 at 20:23. |

Ummm......wow. I pre-ordered my copy from Play-Asia (non-special edition), and it shipped out to me THIS MORNING! This game isn't supposed to be out until tomorrow morning. According to tracking, it already landed in California on its way to me as of 10 hours ago.

It seems Swap Magic users will have a bit of a problem playing this game.
I just got in Galaxy Angell II: Mugen Kairo no Kagi today, but it turns out that it's a 2-disc game. I use the older 2.0 version of Swap Magic swap disc. I don't know how I'd be able to play the second disc when I come to it, as swap disc does it's thing from startup, and not from in the middle of a game. Also, in order to unlock a special route in the game, the the previous game disc (Zettai Rouiki no Tobira) is needed, and is used to unlock the special route the same way as if you were switching discs in a multi-disc game. Does anybody know what to do here?

Ok, so I finally got a way to play the second disc, which is a special route of the first game where Kazuya doesn't choose an Angel, basically setting up for the Natsume route later. Except I can't find a Natsume route in Mugen Kairo no Kagi. Does anybody know how I unlock it? Maybe somebody who has read the Japanese homepage for the game better than I have? (the link to the homepage is linked on my sig pic)

Old thread, but new post to confirm something. (I've been forgetting to do this for a while now) Apparently Natsume doesn't have a route on this game. Gamers on various websites are theorizing that the third game (which is confirmed as being scheduled for release on Januray 29th of 2009) will have a bonus disc with Natsume's route on it (just as Mugen Kairou no Kagi had the bonus disc which sets up Natsume's route), like how they including a patch disc with the PC version of Eternal Lovers to update Moonlit Lovers with Chitose's route while including the conclusion of her route in Eternal Lovers.
