That was a good game but sadly it could have been better. Anyway I can't wait for more PVC figures to be released. My only hope is that FIGMA doesn't get the contract to produce the PVC figures. If they were made by Revoltech that would be AMAZING!!

whoa whoa whoa
Strike witches have been around in manga/novel form? I noticed selkirk and guppy were talking about other Striker models that are not even in the anime... such as Ki-27/Ki-43 and F2 (Buffalo/Brewster) I also noticed the anime timeline starts in 1944 |

At first I thought that Sakamoto was going to be like another Eika Ichijo who is always trying to be better then the rest of her group, but it seems like Sakamoto is more than happy to work together with Yoshika (they sure seem to be forming a fast frienship by episode 2) as an equally valuable member of the team and help her improve no questions asks. I think I prefer that attititude as it seems much more productive and a fitting personality trait for an experienced leader type. She also isn't even jealous (like I imagine Ichijo would have been) when Yoshika shows that she has a larger shield then her, instead revelling in the fact that she's got a teammate with such potential and that she still has her own role in using her Geass to locate the Neuroi's weakpoint.
The whole do what one can theme comes out pretty well in this episode as both of them push themselves to be the best at their tasks, but not stupidly so that they become a liability. Yoshika even knew as well when it was time to let the experienced crew handle things above deck once things become to dangerous and to get below deck to do her part. Overall the series is progressing at a much better pace than Sky Girls, which even for a series twice Strike Witches length tended to drag brutally through it's early episodes. It's also boasting a pretty good soundtrack so far too. |

As selkirk and I were discussing earlier, the writers and/or staff for Strike Witches seem to have really done their homework. You've just got to admire that; I've long since given up on much more "serious" Western shows even getting basic facts right, much less the advanced details.

Some question(s)...
Is this how Strike witches came into fruition? fan-art -> manga/novel -> anime (I predict there will be Strike Witches console game if it gets decent ratings) I remember seeing mecha musume fan arts back in 2005 or 2006. |

I've started translating the Strike Witches light novel, which IMHO is the best out of all the media published so far.
I've made a post in the Manga/LN novel, where I'll continue posting translations if there's interest. http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=69186 Quote:
