Well, 1 year ago I designed some new knightmare for the OAV, I believe some user here remember the artworks.
But now, after I seen the old sketches, I said "bleeeh!" and yes, I trashed the uriens and the sagramor, to redraw them by the start, with a totally new result. Here: Spoiler for for size:

The Uriens makes me think of a KF version of the Siegfried due to the emphasis on power and the enlarged slash harkens. Gauss cannon is a clever touch, though I think it's too big to be a sniper platform; probably would work better as a mobile artillery piece or a ship-killer. Can't really comment further on that.
As for the Sagramor, not sure what I feel about it. Design-wise, it reminds me of the Byarlant from Mobile Suit Z Gundam, complete with the enlarged shoulders, "midget" torso and long legs, not to mention the back binders. As well, the emphasis on heavy artillery is ironic considering Amanda being the sister of the melee loving Luciano, but I guess it fits in with the close-range fighting Tristan as it was designed to be. That said, are Gino and Amanda close in relationship, or are they just professional? |

Well, not.
A serious relationship. The gauss rifle isn't like a sniper weapon, but more like a demolition cannon. The sagramor is just the kmf version of "big and strong = slow" Last edited by Bonzo; 2010-07-05 at 17:29. |

And finally the first chapter of new story thanks to nobodyman9 fixed my bad english translation, 12 years are passed, more have a new life, somebody is still connected with the bad past, like Suzaku Kururugi.

Looks like things are off to an good start. You did well highlighting on the big changes that happened since R2's ending, from the lives of the different characters to the technology level, which somehow became even more futuristic; kudos to you on that, as I had a hard time imagining CG becoming more advanced without it going into space.
And speaking of characters, Suzaku is still a pain in the ass as expected; I thought he would have hooked up with Nunnally by now like in one of your old sketches, but I guess that hasn't happened yet. Rakshata forcing Lloyd into sex was hilarious, especially with that expression of pure terror on Lloyd's face when compared to her pleasent one. Other than that, I liked the way Cecile has aged, since she definitely looks older but at the same time she hasn't lost her attractiveness. I do wonder however if she has ever settled down herself on the side. And then there's the main focus of the story, specifically Nina's allusion that the Sword of Akasha has become active again. This could mean a million things, and part of me wonders if C.C./Elizabeth had anything to do with it. Either way, it makes for a good cliffhanger even if the real suspense hasn't set in yet. Overall this was a good start Bonzo; definitely looking forward to the next one. |
