lately I haven't found any good manga's and now I'm trying look back at previous years to see if there are any titles worth being called classics or were really good but didn't get a lot of recognition.

some titles I really liked
are

kiseijuu
GTO
NGE
akira(I can accept late 80's)

these are titles I could never put down until I finished them

I'm not too picky about stuff but I'll tell you guys what I don't like

anything that contains
Historical Japan
boys love or yuri
Bad artwork(most shoujou's fall into this but some are acceptable like gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun or tonari no kaibutsu-kun

favorite genres-bolded ones are my favorite combination
comedy,action.romance,drama,slice of life/schoolife,fantasy,ecchi,mystery,psychological,sci-fi,tragedy

Hoshi no Samidare AKA The Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer.
It is authored by the same mangaka for Spirit Circle which is currently serializing. Both are underrated manga gems.

Nadia: The Secret Of Blue Water - from Gainex & in some ways a prototype NGE, though it's aimed at a younger audience & has a filler arc, but the better episodes are near mind blowing.

I read 3/4 of HoshiSami might pick it up again.since I barely have time to watch anime shows and are harder to access on the go whereas with manga I can download manga app like mangastorm on my Iphone and read or download my favorite manga before going out so I don't have to worry I'm in an area with no internet.

Granted, this one is a relatively dark, supernatural anime because vampires, and is an overall tragic manga... but Record of Fallen Vampire has so many plot twists and turns that make it really, really good (always hoped that it would see an anime one day, but it seems to have faded into obscurity)

Cross Game. Assuming sportcentric stories are good for you and it fulfills your bolded favorites except fantasy.

Angel Densetsu

Classic manga.

Genre: Comedy/School Life/Romance

Artwork isn't that great the first dozen chapters, but it improves quite a bit, and by the end is amazing.

Great story though. Think of it as a shounen fighter version of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun

(PS Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is actually a shounen parody of a shoujo manga.)
