I doubt it would be connected to anything like a younger Konata-esque voice consider what she is. Who knows, they might even cast someone else as Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade. I would like to see Ohara Sayaka casted as Kiss-shot personally since she's doing a fantastic job as Umineko's Beatrice and I'm she will do the same with Fairy Tail's Erza. But we'll probably get Garnet mark 2 sadly.. *shudders from watching this youtube clip*

Supposely Kamiya is the most famous seiyu in all of Asia. Even though I believe he is one of the seiyus that gets more media attention than others I probably won't go as far as saying he is the most famous. That honour goes some other FEMALE seiyu in the industry. But I will agree he is ONE OF THE most famous MALE seiyus. |

Well, speaking about seiyuu's popularity would be pretty hard. Wakamoto is more of 'veteran' than 'popular', in considering that anyway... Not that I prefer Wakamoto's works than some other seiyuus.
Kamiya has the luck in being better publically promoted than normal male seiyuus usually with his partner OnoD, hah! since his pretty much great and noticeable voice works for many different series. Portraying lots of characters in spot do have effect in that (You won't say you like Lelouch as much as now were he was voiced by Miyata Kouki or Kappei Yamaguchi, won't you?), seeing his fans come from diverse voice works of him (mostly Tieria and Natsume) Or in analogy, just think about veteran enka singer and pop idol singer as Norio and Kamiyan respectively. And I'm pretty sure 1995-2005 period seiyuus also have popularity on their own, but whatever.

Kamiyan is definitely one of the most popular male seiyuu in the industry right now. I've seen Kira*Fes (somesort of male seiyuu concert), Kamiyan got the most scream (he sucks at singing though). Many fangirls seems to love him. I think he has the most new roles this season, he has 6 new series and all are regular roles.
Fukuyama Jun is more well known, just due to Code Geass's popularity. Or at least his name seems to appear the most frequent in this forum... Quote:

I suppose it's a limitation on my part, but despite there being three different characters I've heard Hiroshi Kamiya voice which I at least didn't mind (Tieria, Mikhail and now Ararararagi) there's still a certain other person he also voices who... well, I find it that but harder than usual to shake.
But then, in the case of Tieria, I didn't realise he and that other person had the same seiyuu until I looked it up later, which is either a credit to the voice actor or a case of my own failings in that regard. Still, that's not to say I can't treat his other characters on their own terms... it just takes a little time to get settled, I guess.
