Akihabara (Facebook): I was shaken up, but I am fine. Compared to the north or other district, I am not the town you should be worried about. -_- Tokyo Disney Resort, for example, is having a hard time right now with 69,000 guests stranded at their park. But the park company is doing the best they can to keep guests safe and trying to keep them warm.

And here's the person finder.

While I agree, if they believe their prayers will do something, or comfort themselves or the victims, let them.

It has a bit of an odd feeling to it; I wouldn't be surprised if it were photoshopped. For one thing, why is it angled so weird like that and not flat on its face? It looks like sopmebody just photoshopped a pic of the statue and cut/pasted/rotated/moved the knees and above.

Lots of 3-4 foot waves, but everything is fine so far. Ironically, I was supposed to go hiking on the beach at Pacifica (Bay Area) this morning and I'm still scheduled to fly into Tokyo on the 18th.

I'll keep the thousands that are now homeless and the millions who are without power in my prayers as I wait for a donation center to get set up.
As soon as the Red Cross or UN start a relief effort my donation will be on its way.

The Huff Post has an article on what organizations are scrambling to get relief efforts underway.

Article here:
