Rimone! No!

I am now torn between my desire to see Rimone coming back and my hatred of characters miraculously coming back.

Quite a touching scene with Rimone and Dominura in the forest, as far as I understood Rimone said she understood Dominura's feelings (thoughts?) because she was her pair.
I didn't really get why Paraieta slapped Aeru but she seemed to be totally losing the plot at that point.
And yes, Arcus Prima's arrival was quite imaculately timely indeed which was kind of annoying.

I don't think they did. I'm not even sure about Amuria. The Suigyoku looks an awful lot like a star drive or other transportation mechanism, rather than a big kaboom. I wonder where they all went....

Anyway, if they did kill a "loli" (I really hate that term, y'know), they still have several more bodies to drop to catch up to Higurashi....

More to the point, did they have Rubor and Caput on board, or was it just the bare ship herself? She's much less useful as the cavalry riding over the hilltop unless she brought a couple of Simoun choirs along....

What was their sacrifice for?
Half of the enemy crafts were left unharmed even after the Ri-Maajon.
And Messis was saved by other Simouns rather than Dominura-Limone.

I think that Dominura and Aaeru felt that it was more important to stay and guard Messis. I believe the captain said they would have to leave the area before dawn, in order to avoid being found by the enemy. Paraietta was horrified that they were going to abandon their friends. Aaeru said that Paraietta wasn't thinking about all their friends, just about Neviril, and that it was ridiculous to think of her protecting the top sibylla, the Sibylla Aurea. Slap!

Poor Paraietta. She's out of her depth. Earlier, when they were waiting for the enemy fliers to go by, she was ready to emerge from hiding, but Aaeru said there were more coming, which there were, and I think said something about being used to war, with the implication that Paraietta was not. Para-sama is really beyond the edge of emotional stability, feeling (correctly) that she has not protected Neviril and even sent her into danger, dispersing their forces unnecessarily. I was amazed that Aaeru agreed right after that to fly with Paraietta to find the other simoun.

I can't help being fascinated by that incredibly ugly stuffed animal. Does Limone still have it, wherever she is? I loved how Noto Mamiko said that line to Aaeru about taking it along. It was a nice combination of childish, cheeky, and affectionate.

And Koshimizu Ami is really in a great space right now. I find Paraietta quite frustrating, but that means that Amisuke is playing her very well. As I said before, it's amazing to hear her as Tenko in Kamisama Kazoku and then hear this. There's no way it's the same person -- and yet it is.

And to wowo: wow! That's fast. Now to watch the show again. I did have work to do, didn't I? EDIT: Nice job. Here's a great plus for softsubs: we have a good sub within 12 hours of the broadcast. There aren't even any Chinese subs out yet. Maybe there are some things the author might decide to edit a little but I can't think of many, and in the meantime we can watch and understand. Not to put down hardsubs and full editing and QC, which will bring the show to many more people, but this is great for me.

From what we've seen recently, neither Amuria nor Aaeru love Neviril for herself, just for her flying. But I think the NevirilxAaeru development is about to begin.

Aer can easily read people like an open book. It's just that her psyche is almost alien.

Perhaps... she a higher dimensional being closer to that of Tempus Patium?

Well, after I watched it for the second,
I came to think the final Ri-Maajon brought hell to quite a many enemy crafts at once, and more than that, it helped other sibyllae and Arcus Prima to locate Messis instantly as to deal with the rest of them bugging it.

Although I still think their disappearance was rather in vain, there were series of scenes absorbing the audience and the music played during the Ri-Maajon was awesome.

Again, Dominura gave enigmatic hints about the Simoun.
I just feel they are alive somewhere even if not in the same world or time.

As for Paraietta, her frustration is getting more serious.
While I'm reluctant to see the fear of losing authority in her, because it seems she was not so interested in authority or power thing from the beginning, it is pretty true she is pushed to the lower limit of confidence about her ability and Neviril.

you said something bad about a guy, and that guy snapped, that means what you said is true right?:P:P(not always tho)

and about aeru agreeing directly pairing with para, I think may be because she has said that she will hear her "orders"?(in ep 15) or may be because she actually feels the same way as para, just not in more strategic way

I shud agree about Koshimizu Ami
she can sound a lot of character from tenma tsukamoto, nina wong and now paraietta.

Hmm, my opinion is that after the slap, Aaeru realizes Paraietta really does feel very strongly for Neviril, so she agrees to help her out of sympathy. That's usually the way people think. Then again, Aaeru is not most people.

From warainagara's point, does Arcus Prima have troops on board? So, going by this reasoning, whether Dominura and Limone's passing had a purpose depends on whether the Arcus Prima would have seen the battle without the help of the Suigyoku. Also their speed. Is the ship fast enough to cover a huge distance without being nearby to begin with?

And hey, seiyuu foreshadowing! I heard Kuwashima Houko voicing the minor character and became puzzled; they wouldn't ask her in just for that. Later, the Prima sails in. Hehe.

Anyway, this episode hurt so much I haven't moved from hate to love yet. But there's certainly a lot to say.

Same feeling as the monthly voice actor interviews, kinda boring and very amateur. Cute stuff though.
If you're a big fan of Takahashi Rieko (Dianna and Kihel from Turn A Gundam) it was a treat. There was some weird part called "The dark consultation with Nevirille" or something like that and Takahashi Rieko answers questions emailed to the show, while acting as Nevirille. One email was some girl who used to be a big fan of Nevirille but "switched to Morinas", and wanted to be punished by Nevirille then sweet talked, Tsun-dere style. Takahashi Rieko answers with an "Idiot! Cheating will not be forgiven!". Awkward stuff like that.
I think every week it'll just be the Nevirille and Lordreamon voice actresses.

On a side note, I edited the subs a bit, but not enough for a rewatch or anything (I edited the flow and no content was added, except for one correction at 17:37).
Considering you need the correct RAW file to even use it, I'm not going to go crazy on these subs.

LOL, knowing the seiyuus too well can be harmful indeed.
As for Rimone and Dominura sacrificying themselves in vain - that just makes the scene more tragically beautiful, IMHO. After all, the cliche that sacrifice should lead to an immediate victory should not be used every time.
Aaeru agreeing to fly with Paraieta was not surprising for me, Aaeru stays calm in tense situations, she knows Rimone and Dominura are a very capable pair and the four of them would have a bigger chance of achieving a victory if they don't break up this pair. And this left her with no choice but to fly with Paraieta.

Hm? But Aaeru need not have flown at all. Leaving the Messis is almost equivalent to letting them die. In similar situations in other stories, this has led to the destruction of the ship. And then the angst would follow, hee. I was expecting that, so what they did have was better. But I suppose it was an ambiguous decision to make. Maybe there's no right or wrong in this case, and Aaeru chose to go with the person who felt strongly about it. She may have been worried about her teammates too.

If we argue that she has feelings for Neviril at this point, we'd be able to say that her love for Neviril *cough* includes respect for her abilities, and Paraietta is somewhat lacking in this area. But Aaeru would be sympathetic to Paraietta's feelings anyway, because she has them too. (Yes, I know, I know...)

Oh, well, I guess my memory really failed me this time because I was mixing up the first and the second time they went into battle when I was talking about Aaeru agreeing to fly with Paraieta. Note to self - next time don't watch raws in 5 o'clock in the morning and expect to remember the events well.

Now that I checked the scene with the help of wowo's amazingly fast sub I can't help but fell a bit puzzled because the decsion to leave the ship the first time round was kind of weird indeed. But since it was more of a different kind of defensive strategy for the Messis, rather than just a search for the rest of Choir Tempest it does make sense. The second time seems more straightforward since the Messis couldn't be hidden in daylight, right?

As for Aaeru's feelings for Neviril, I doubt anyone knows the truth about that, Aaeru included, so I am not going to speculate for now.
