the second looks good, colored pencils are always fun. i use colored pencils every now and again myself. the first looks alright, not familiar with the original character so i can't say if it looks right or no.

In addition,, either you pressed REALLY hard with these pencils or these are crayons O.o

Am I right?

Nevertheless,, pretty impressive if they were crayons

That second one is incredibly well done, you could sell it at an anime convention.

Yeah, I was going to say that too. The texture looks really crayon-like.

The drawing of Chii...

The way her neck is bent seems to suggest that she has a broken neck.

I get the idea of her hands resting on the kneecap, but you didn't draw them to hold on to each other. Well, at least have her right hand hold her left wrist. Get the idea?

The 2nd picture is good.

it could have also been colored on a non-smooth surface as well. i used to color on a sort of bumpy surface, and .... it usually gave the colors the texture beneath it (my desk is old, what can i say?)

anycase....

thanks for the advice!

Sidenote: I'm going to put some of my other drawings up latter on so look forward to them!!

For the second one:

Wow... how much time and planning did it take to come up with the borders around the sleeves and skirt? I'm quite impressed. And I love the skirts and arms/sleeves.

Hands need a bit of work, though.

Nicely made pictures.
However i must also say that the picture of Chii is a bit off. The idea of having her right hand grab her wrist is a good idea =/ and hereīs a little secret in drawing hands. Always draw them a little bigger than you want to. Since the human eye has a little bad habit of shrinking them down when drawing. Dunno why but thatīs just how it is.

The second picture is very good. I canīt make any arguments there b^-^d

Keep up the good work.
iīll be posting up my arts too as soon as iīve fixed my scanner. btw, do any of you know where i can get drivers for an AcerScan 620ST ? windows xp edition. Since i think thatīs the problem why it doesnīt work.

(thx in advance and sorry to bug you witht that request here)

I think i need to clarify... I didn't draw the second one I just colored it, it was an orginal picture done by the manga artist but I just printed it out black and white and colored it.. thats why it looks so professional... i couldn't draw like that...

Sorry for the miss understanding!
