Hidan no Aria vol 1 manages to sell 2349 Dvds and 4007 BDs, totaling to 6356! Which is far more than we could hope for realistically

Assuming this keeps up for the remaining volumes; hopes, wishes and dreams for a second season won't feel so distant anymore

And that's just in 5 days!!! Maybe next week it will reach 10,000+.

Compare it with the first season of other famous JC Staff series that got more than one season, you can see it will most likely get another season.

It already past the number first season of Zero no Tsukaima had sold, which was 5000-6000.

The first season of Shana and Index each had sold more than 10,000. If the first, second and third vol of Hidan no Aria sell that much, then we'll definitely get another season. We'll just have to wait for another couple of months.

Lets... Not get ahead of ourselves At best, the numbers will rise up to 7000 total, but it's extremely unlikely for a 4000 increase even in it's entire life run.

The first 2 eps in that disk, right? Maybe fans really wanted some uncensored Aria boobies and bathing scenes

I guess the last few eps better have more of that Aria fanservice if it wishes to maintain those numbers

Still though, lack of Aria last week has me unhappily sad. why is it this series had to face a couple of delays in it's run...

Aria could have used a few more weeks of delay. On the QC end, Ep. 4 showed what could be done if the schedule were better.

Most likely, they're turning these episodes in last minute (hence the army of animation directors on most episodes to do corrections, along with inconsistent art. At least the motion design is passable though, unlike Dog Days), and a couple failed to reach any state of completion on time.

I have to say that I'm warming up to the series a bit. I originally dropped it after Ep. 2, but having caught up to 5 now, it provides some dumb fun to pass the time.

That is especially weird considering episode 01 was delayed about a week or 2, this happening after a preview went up before the delay was announced using quite a number of scenes from ep 01. I guess though, this being JC Staff maybe they were backed up quite a bit.

Makes me wonder, if there be new stuff from JC Staff next season, who takes care of fixing up content for Aria for the disc releases. Sounds like a busy schedule.

But I'm surprised, 6000+ is usually good enough for most series to get a second season, why does he need more?

Unless he's actually worried about Volume 2, because Volume 1 was the reduced price volume, and Vol.2 will probably show how much real lasting interest there is for Hidan no Aria because it's full-priced.
