Just because the mobile suit has a unicorn doesn't imply anything. I seriously doubt that Fukui will use a pre-existing Gundam character for a novelization.

Perhaps the meaning of existence lies within their will to fight.
People feel a sense of accomplishment through battle.
And it’s also a fact that the ones actually fighting are never perceived as being tainted.

Pegasus? Johnny Ridden's symbol was a unicorn - reportedly a tribute to Kycillia and the feelings he had for her. Unicorns are often used to represent the idea of purity and things like that. The unicorn here is to show how pure his feelings are.
Besides, I think it'd be hard to mistake a pegasus for a unicorn. Unicorns (which are not found in Greek mythology, btw, since ancient Greeks thought the unicorn truly existed and even lived somewhere in India) have a single horn on their foreheads while pegasi (Pegasus, according to Greek legends, was born from the blood of the freshly beheaded Medusa Gorgon, and was later tamed by Bellerophon, its only known master before Zeus struck him with lightning for trying to enter the gods' home, Mount Olympus) have wings on their backs. And that's all.

Johnny's wasn't a unicorn... it was a horse with a horn and some tiger stripes... :/

First, the horn looks kinda nifty... It strikes me more as an antenna than the stanard V-fin, so it's all good in my book.

Perhaps it is just me but going by the image(s) posted, I don't see anything in that image that, to me at least, looks like a cockpit hatch. Might this be a remote controlled unit (something similar to a G-bit) or an AI based MS?

EDIT: Is it just me or does the MS look larger than the surrounding clouds in that image...

I think that is smoke... not clouds because the suit looks like it is trying to stand...

Nice. I like the design. It's different in the same way the Turn A Gundam was different. I can deal with that. What makes me excited is that it's UC based. Jus a damn shame I can't read Japanese. I can only understand a little spoken , writen is still coming along slow. Oh well here's hoping it's animated for the 30th.

I'm really curious as to what type or characters the author is going to use. Hoping the lead pilot will be an adult around the late 20s to early 30s. Just tried of all of these kid pilots that seem to be the best, ugh. I'm just happy UC material is coming about again all the same.

- "The unicorn is a pegasus"--what th?
Pegasus = Horse with wings
Unicorn = Horse with a lion's tail and a horn

Also, did you click on my link at all?

- The RX-78-2 Gundam didn't have a Pegasus symbol on in until the Master Grade kits came out, last I checked (in 1999 or so). To the best of my knowledge there has never been a Pegasus symbol on the older Gundam MS models or illustrations until the Master Grade RX-78 came out with the WB Pegasus symbol. Amuro only served on the White Base for the duration of the One-Year War, but he never served on a Pegasus-class ship again after that. The Ra Kailum in Char's Counterattack isn't a Pegasus-class.

On the other hand, the Nu-Gundam always had the Unicorn "A" symbol on it. Plus, last I checked, Amuro didn't get his "Unicorn" moniker until AFTER the One-Year War. It was definitely part of his symbol on the Rx-93 Nu Gundam in Char's Counterattack--look at the symbol on his shield.

I know Wiki isn't the most accurate source, but here's a reference from
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MSZ-006_Zeta_Gundam
Quote:
"White Zeta" (Zeta Gundam 3A Type)Amuro Ray's unit has been modified and is now known as Zeta Gundam 3A Type, and can equip a pair of external boosters in Waverider mode, allowing it to make orbit unassisted. Amuro Ray's codename is White Unicorn.
As mentioned, it's not absolute proof, it could be just coincidence or the machine itself might actually be referencing Amuro (i.e. kind of like a tribute to him or some other character). Buit it's just a bit...too coincidental?

Some pics of the characters...

Apparently, this means that this novel will fill in on what happens to Minerva Zabi? (I guess similar to what the non-canon Moon Crisis did). And Full Frontal = Char + Creuset's love child?

Unicorn will most likely fill in the 12 year gap between CCA and Hathaway's flash, exploring the aftermath of CCA and the stagnation of EA. Perhaps we might see the advance model of CCA's suits and the missing link between the Nu and RX-104 Odessey/ RX-105 Sei.

Audrey looks too much like Minerva, the fact that she's 17 years old in UC0096 does not help either.
