^Maybe Cruz will have the most powerful fire attributed fragment? Or it might be a fragment which only yamada can posses.
Well that's just me wanting Arclight go 'WTF?" if he cant copy it... |

The second one scares me more. I'm afraid of the way it makes me feel...
Well, anyhow, that cover's certainly interesting... But don't forget the well known saying about the judging of books thereby. Just for reference, here's a previous cover: Spoiler for image:
Nice picture, but it had absolutely nothing to do with that month's chapter (73). (Actually, Eve in that outfit reminds me of Yukari from Sekirei. I wonder if that's intentional. Not that it's particularly relevant...) ...and as it happens, what I was going to say today has nothing to do with this month's cover either. It occurs to me that it isn't going to take a whole chapter to find out if Cruz is going to be OK, or to tell us what's hidden in his head (I still think it's the second chip btw), but there's probably a fair amount of back story attached to it. What I'm hoping is that we'll discover some of Arca's secrets along the way. Theory alert: I'm starting to think Arca's been a double agent all along, and her real loyalty lies with the Resistance. Now hold on there, I hear you say. Didn't she betray her comrades to Arclight, try to kill her own brother, and so forth? Well, you may have a point there. She certainly does seem to have gone to extreme lengths to preserve her cover. But... We now know she's been keeping information from Arclight, namely the fact that there's something in Cruz's head that would seem to be of some interest to him. Also, if you look at the part where the Resistance is wiped out (see chapter 38), note that she doesn't actually kill anyone. She leaves the dirty work to Saten and the others. Same thing later on, at Black Market, when she goes off to "check out the mine" (and never comes back), leaving Hatfield in charge. In fact, the only person we've ever seen her kill is a member of Simeon. (Cruz, of course, recovered from being dead, so he doesn't count. ) On balance, that makes her one of the good guys. (Maybe?) Well, that's today's crazy idea. Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long to disprove it...

Who really knows with Arca? She's moved "DIE CRUZ!" to "LIVE CRUZ!" so much it's hard to know what to believe. She clearly cares for him on some level, but her motivations are a mystery that we'll only really be able to speculate about once we find out what is in Cruz's head.
My random theory until we know the truth: it's not a chip, it's the forehead gem from the Adam series.

Something changed in Arca after that time she got stopped in her tracks when she was going to kill Yamada twice.

Whenever I browse to this thread and find three new pages of responses I know something amazing is going down.
The cover image certainly is intriguing. It's too soon to say whether it really is Arca's Fragment but if so then I'm sure someone's theory will have been confirmed. |

But Arclight already has one of those. He doesn't need another one...
