Anime about marriage.

So yeah, I'm looking for an anime or manga that explores the relationship between a married couple.

I'll also accept any recommendations that offer it as a side-plot, but please give details like it's relevancy to the main storyline, and when it comes into play etc.

I'd prefer an anime over a manga and prefferable a more recent one.

So any recommendations?

(Yes I have watched Clannad After Story)

Married before or married after the series begins?

For married after, from the top of my head would be Itazura na Kiss.

Doesn't matter really. As long as the relationship of marriage is explored. Thanks for the recommendation. Unfortunately i have to share the love before i can give some to you again. =3

I recommend My Neighbors the Yamadas. It's a little-known comedic feature from Ghibli, using very simple pencil-sketch type animation, chronicling the lives of a normal yet wacky Japanese couple and their two kids.

You know for some reason I can't grab other marriage animes from the top of my head because most of the ones I know and/or haven't seen tend to play the idea and twist it for ridiculous comedy, fanservice or whatnot. I don't really know a lot of of marriage titles that take the topic anywhere near serious. Itazura na Kiss is technically a romcom but it takes some serious turns when they get married.

I've seen it ages ago, and for what I can remember while there's indeed a marriage, it's all a trick to explore the young bride's daily life alone at home. The husband has little to none screentime, therefore you can't really call that a relationship exploration.

If it's about actual marriage, I can't really think of anything beside the already mentioned Itazura na Kiss.

I have read the manga. You could almost label this as 'educational'.

Somehow Chi's Sweet Home came to my mind. While generally it's about a little kitten, we also see her owners who are a young family. Their life is constantly shown on the background. Probably it's not what you're looking for, but at least the episodes are short so you can check it without actually wasting much time.
