Moving In Anime... or whatever you call it.
Hey guys, I realized that I really like those animes where one of the protagonists moves in with another protagonist (of the opposite gender, duh). I'm looking for one of those. HOWEVER, I would prefer it to have several things:
1. The more popular it is, the better. 2. I would like some comedy and romance 3. I don't really like harem, but if it's really good I'll take it As for some examples, I really liked/plain liked Kannagi, Ah! My Goddess, and Shuffle! Thanks in advance. Hope there's something like this out there -_-

Maison Ikkoku perfectly fits your request and it is one of the best romance series out there period.
Can't help you with the "popular is better" part though. Love Hina (AKA the poor man's Maison Ikkoku) would probably suit that better.

Nodame lives next door to Chiaki in Nodame Cantabile, but from his point of view, it's a distinction that's not a difference.

Mahoraba ~Heartful Days~
As you can tell from the title it's a heartful story. It's about a young man moving into a housing complex to study at university where his female cousin works as landlady. It's pretty much just a one on one romance too.

Marmalade Boy - Exactly what you're looking for. Its got some amazing romance, very solid drama, the comedy bits are pretty funny, and the two main protagonists live in the same house from the middle of episode one onward. IMO the animation quality is really, really good for the time it was made and overall just really fun and great.
KimiKiss Pure Rouge also involves the living together aspect. |

Seconding Tenchi, basically everyone starts moving in with him instead of him going anywhere XD
Adding Fruits Basket, Tohru who used to live in a tent moves in the Souma household Comedy/drama and I highly recommend this one |
