The new guy (Kain) is either very stupid or very smart. His magic is interesting along with his monsterous strength. Lucy's summon spirits appear to be no use and it was until Natsu's last second appearance did she get saved. Very interesting team up for next chapter, Natsu/Lucy/Happy vs Ultear/Kain. Also, I think the mangaka is getting a wee bit out of hand with Lucy's body proportions.

Lol at the pic. Fine, I humbly apologize for my comment on Lucy's proportions.

It going to be interesting to see how this team fight works out. The Natsu/Lucy/Happy combination has been there from the start of the series and they pretty much know each other well. The interesting part would be how Kain and Ultear work out.

no one commented on it but Ultear has a few scratches on her and Natsu seems to be holding his own against her.

She's had them since her fight with Zeref... in fact she has less than she did immediately after the fight since she had blood running from her mouth and bruises around it, yet they're gone now (except her overall "scratch" level over the rest of her is about the same as just after the fight with Zeref). So I'd say Natsu hasn't yet landed a punch on her... after all we know how easily she bruises from his hits.

Makarov had Wendy fix it in ch.221-222, since it was preventing her magic from healing Natsu.

while Ultear doesn't look like she suffered damage, neither does Natsu though - and considering she was spamming futures at him and presumably not holding back that is something... he also seems to be in / or going towards high power output mode considering all the little scales he has

Damn that was funny Looks like Kain has a serious lack of common sense, but makes up for it with insane strength and an uncommon form of magic (in FT). I think Natsu and Lucy will somehow end up switching opponents though, if even Scorpio's attacks were brushed away, I doubt Lucy can do anything against Kain atm, especially with Loki out of comission.

P.S: Lucy is hawt.

Duh... that was an overdose of fanservice.
Kain's magic is interesting (surprisingly) - I excepted something lame for the fatass and obligatory comic relief antagonist of this arc. I like the fact that it turned into a 2on2, I always like it if they have to combine their magics to take the enemy down (like Gray/Leon vs Racer). I wonder how far Kain can "manipulate" the state of his doll, he could push Ultear with it very much, although it depends where the limitations of his magic are.
I wonder what Natsu and Lucy will pull out. After all in 1on1 they were inferior.
And by the way, if they win they both deserve to be promoted to S-class for taking down 4 of the 7 kin.

Tha chapter was good, but it was painful in how anti-climatic this turned out to be. I mean Charle's vision seemed to be coming true... a still hand, and Natsu and Kana crying; the assumption was that someone died and we now found out the hand belonged to Lucy... and yet, nothing happened. Frankly it feels like the whole part with the hand was just a kind of pointless element to create some tension... So much was expected, but nothing happened.
