The 3-child family seems to come together so much more well. Adding stick in the mud little brother just makes it awkward. Only one cute spectator of the two Kyons is needed. This is supposed to be based in the normal universe anyway, so Kyon's sister being there alone helps that fact.

Also, even though Haruhi met Kyon's sister once, I don't think she'd be thinking about her with Haruhiko while they were altering realities in their room.

I know we have new writers/editors here, so I'll mention something which I've mentioned before, but due to stupidity had not actually included in the archive post until now: if you're editing something based on another Seitenkan member's work (as opposed to converting from the original canon from scratch), please note that explicitly in the post. It makes my job a lot easier, and heads off any potential "but I didn't write that!" drama.

Also, unless specifically requested, I will not be archiving any short posts, meaning a single scene or some such. Make the posts substantial, please. This is a subjective opinion, I admit, but if opening the spoiler tag doesn't make me have to scroll down, then it's too short. The reason for this is that if I archive every single thing, the archive post is going to get far too unwieldy.

And I got all whiny yesterday for having to read through ten pages. Seriously guys; I slept for five hours or so, and when I come back, there are 19 pages waiting for me.
No. I refuse to do that. I have read through a page here and there, but I'm not reading all of them. I refuse. Absolutely refuse. No.

So, in stead of quietly reading through my nineteen pages, I'm going to bother others
I noticed some talk about a doujinshi. What exactly is going on there? Does anyone have the time/energy/patience to explain that to me? Is it the sub project doujin, or…? I didn’t really manage get answers to my many questions in the few pages I actually bothered to read… Sorry for the inconvenience.

Other than that, I think I'll survive, even though I only read about half of the nineteen pages...
(I officially hate my time zone. More than ever... I missed out on way too much)

Anyway, the doujin sub-project is henceforth known as "The Crossroads of Haruhi Suzumiya." ( 涼宮ハルヒの辻, Suzumiya Haruhi no Tsuji.)

Kagedanji's been writing some stuff, but it's a bit takeoffish from the original concept, and hence Kaisos does not approve in the above post. I'm a bit skeptical too as of right now, but we'll see if we can broker some kind of a compromise.

After the Nanoha OC thread, I'm used to it. At the risk of sounding like an "uphill both ways" guy, it usually takes something like thirty pages at once (most of it random fluff and crack) to make me raise an eyebrow.

Yes, that is why I'm taking a break from that. I don't mind reading all those pages, but when most of it is spam and uncut huge images and Youtube videos, one gets a sense of futility: why should I be reading all these pages when so little of it is of any real substance?

I've burned out on trying to control the Crack. It's like trying to explain stuff reasonably to twenty Harukis at once: I don't dare offend any of them, but saying anything will just result in them shouting at you in huge letters.

Most of the on-topic talk of a doujin is indeed about the Romantic Comedy sub-project. There was a bit of off-topic talk about some C74 doujins, but that's, well, off-topic.

I'm also thinking that my time zone is inconvenient: every day I check the thread to see several complaints that the archive post has not been updated.

The feeble planet Earth. Controlled by one being of Japanese descent. This being's name is Suzumiya. When two alternate universes suddenly combine, anomalies will occur.

In both universes, in the region of Japan in which this story takes place, a sunset occurs outside a high school building window.

Haruhi: Hmm... If I could meet my male self...

Haruhiko: If I could meet my female self. Huh...

[Not meant to happen...]

[Extreme coincidence...]

Haruhi, Haruhiko: So boring here... If I could, I guess I would...

[It has begun...]

Haruhi suddenly feels something under her.

Haruhiko: ...Who the hell are you, and what are you doing on my lap?

Haruhi: Err...

Haruhi, for some reason, relaxed herself in his lap, as if there were some divine connection between them.

Haruhiko: You look strangely familiar...(Almost like myself...? What in the...)

Haruhi: What are you...h...hitting on me?!

Haruhi blushed, then got out of the desk.

Haruhi: I'm going home!

Haruhiko: ...Alright then...

After she left the room, he silently followed. Haruhiko catches up with Haruhi on the hillside path.

Haruhi: Why are you following me?

Haruhiko: Ignore how crazy this may sound, but I think we're both the same person...

Haruhi: Tch, that’s...

Haruhi stopped walking and thought about this. She looked into her counterpart's eyes. She then examined his headset, which looked reminiscent to her own hair accessory.

Haruhi: Forget it... Just go home, weird person.

Haruhiko still silently followed her until they reached Haruhi's home.

Haruhi: Hey, dammit. I can sue you for stalking me like this!

Haruhiko merely reached under his shirt for a key worn around his neck, and fit it in the doorknob. It opened. Haruhi was confounded by this.

Haruhiko: You gonna go inside first?

Haruhi strode inside and tried to slam the door closed, but Haruhiko caught it with his hand.

Haruhiko: I still have a key you know.

Haruhi: Get away from me!

Haruhi ran up to her room and opened the door. She noticed something different. Things that weren't hers, mixed with things that were hers. Most prominent, posters of swimsuit models. Haruhiko was behind her.

Haruhiko: That over there would be a poster of Manabe, right over your yellow beanbag chair.

Haruhi: Did you get that key somewhere and vandalize my room? There was a key under the mat, you stole it!

She rushed down and outside, looked under the mat, there was still a key there. Haruhiko had followed.

Haruhiko: Believe me yet?

Haruhi and Haruhiko came to a resolve and ended up sitting on some pillows on the floor of their room to try and explain this. They spoke simultaneously.

Haruhi: Could you possibly be a shape shifter who's been stalking me?

Haruhiko: Could you possibly be a sorcerer who brought me to this world?

They were both silent, analyzing what the other had said. Haruhi then spoke.

Haruhi: Earlier. You said that we might be the same person? We'll both say our surnames, at the same time, in 3, 2, 1.

Haruhi set this as a trap, Haruhiko probably knew, but fell for it anyway in order to prove to her that his hypothesis may be true.

Haruhiko: Suzumiya.

Haruhi: ...

Haruhiko: ...Haruhiko

Haruhi: What a dumb name clearly based off of mine.

Haruhiko: My female self really is a thick headed bitch...

Haruhi: What did you say?!

Haruhiko: Tch, I know that I heard what I said to myself.

Haruhi: Ugh, stop trying to confuse me!

Haruhiko: Why can't you even try to believe?

Haruhi: Well then fine. If you can say that we're both Suzumiya, explain to me. We are both facing each other, talking to each other, in the same room. Explain.

Haruhiko: I don't know how to explain. I don't even know how it happened.

Haruhi: Why?

Haruhiko: It was just a crazy idea that popped into my head okay?!

The two went silent again.

Haruhi: ...Did you happen to be thinking about meeting your female self before this happened?

Haruhiko: Did you think something similar?

Haruhi, Haruhiko: Yeah.

Haruhi: That's just crazy. It's like God's playing tricks on us.

Haruhiko: But it makes you think... What about the others?

Haruhi: Hm?

Haruhiko: Yuuki, Minoru, Itsuko, Kyon...

Haruhi: Yuki, Mikuru, Itsuki... Kyon...?

Haruhiko: Could they be experiencing the same thing we are?

Haruhi: Would be interesting though...

Kyon: Mikuru...you can hold onto me as long as you want until we escape...Uhn...

The two Kyons merely looked at each other in bed...then both lightly tapped their curled hands on their palms as a gesture of understanding.

Kyon, Kyonko: Suzumiya...

Kyon: Haruhi?

Kyonko: Haruhiko.

Like the Suzumiyas' room, their room was a mixture of boys' and girls' preferred furnishings.

Kyon: Let's just go on with life as usual until this is over?

Kyonko: Agreed, I'm assuming we're both Kyon...

Kyon: I'll add "ko" at the end of your name to differentiate.

Kyonko: Good with me.

Kyon's sister walked in, but didn't look surprised at all, it was as if it wasn't unordinary to her.

Kyon's Sister: Good morning, Kyon! ...And Kyonko?

Kyonko: Yup.

Kyon's Sister: Alright!

She walked away. The three decided to get ready for school as if nothing had happened. They gathered outside.

Kyon: The ponytail's nice.
