The demo only has episode 1, so no unlock.

Just the small price you have to pay for using the free version.

In Higurashi's case, the demo didn't even have the character portraits, so you're actually pretty lucky.

...But because I'm such a nice guy, here is a version that will give you a fresh state, give you chapter select from the start, and won't go crazy on the title screen when you complete it, I think. Just replace the nscript.dat in your English folder with this one.

And this should only be used on the demo version.

Did you REMOVE the old patch?
I cannot put more emphasis on it: using the full patch force you to remove any of the old one. do NOT overwrite the old patch with the new one.

I'd highly suggest you bold that in your update post, since I had not even seen that. I'll give it another try.

Huh wait... I'm sorry, but I don't think using bold for all new instructions is required considering that it is clear and put right after the links. It is not like it is hidden in the paragraph. Just read the post completely instead of rushing to the update file... (especially that you seem to be the only person who didn't see the V1 special instruction).
That will be even more true with episode 2 patches when they will come out, though you will need eisode 2 or 3 game anyway.

that matter aside, currently using talk page for wikipedia article. I dunno what Jyuhachi is doing, but he put quite critical spoilers from Ep3 without much pertinence in there (because if you do that, I just can't understand why episode 1-2 events are not put as well. Talk about random).

EDIT: looks like I was a bit slow and it has been edited already this morning. Good, now the characters descriptions are no longer spoilerish I would say.

Given the importance of that step, putting it in bold seems like a good idea.

I got it to work and noticed a word missing near the beginning of the second day, when they curtains are being opened. It says, "If the curtains remained closed, the inside of the mansion still be dim". I think "would" or something was supposed to be in there.

I finished the first episode again and it was fine, I didn't notice any glitches or anything like that.

There were a fair amount of mistakes, so a beta-test sometime soon would be good.

I'm in no real hurry for the next game to be finished, since I plan to wait and buy the fourth one when it comes out. Just hope the patch will work with it.@_@
