Heh, looks like all three demons succumbed to the landlady's picture. A wasted trip, all to find a handheld console. Urushihara the NEET.

Emi finally has something she needs to worry about. The amounts of the demon that she needs to deal had increased to 3.

Just imagine that 3 demon lords got back their power. Emi will be completely outnumbered.

Emi's mind: MUST.STOP.MAOU.AND.ETC.TO.GAIN.BACK.THEIR.POWER. *stalking Maou*
Policeman: What are you doing here? Stalking your boyfriend?
Emi: Boyfriend?

What a crazy episode. Taking advantage by fooling Satan and have him find a lost toy... I'm pretty amazed of the director/author of the series... The humor is superb!

I can't decide if Maou is simply oblivious to Chi-chan's confessions (the usual dense-as-black-hole anime guy), or he's hinting that she's in the friend-zone by ignoring her interest.

I like the ending sequence better now (although I still don't think it fits the series at all) but they still kept that annoying camera gaze up Chiho's body at the end...ugh!

Cute episode, I like that Urushihara joined the group and the fact that he is a NEET has added a new dynamic. Although Maou/Ashiya will always be my favorite pair.

I loved when the high school girl asked if they shared a futon. It's crossed my mind too my dear girl.

Chiho has been growing on me a lot. I don't really like her character type so I guess it's a testament to the writing that I actually find her pretty cute and not annoying at all. I can't blame her for having a crush on Maou either.

As for Emi, I think the tsundere thing is getting a bit old. Don't get me wrong I understand the conflict in Emi's mind and can appreciate that her whole life was dedicated to defeating Satan, when that gets taken away it feels like she has lost her purpose. So even though I think she knows Maou is not a bad guy, she can't leave him. Maou is still Emi's purpose even if she has to invent reasons for it (keeping tabs on you).

So no I don't mind Emi's reasoning at all, I just wish they would tone down the Tsun part of her personality just a bit.

Technically, Ashiya's a NEET too.

If Urushihara's taking over some of the magic research, maybe Ashiya should get a job. Three guys on one salary's tough.

Well Ashiya takes care of all the domestic stuff. He does work, even if he isn't earning a salary.

No, Ashiya is a house-husband. He does all the cooking, cleaning, washing, shopping for groceries, clothes, etc. That's quite a lot of work, even if the flat is small and they don't have many belongings. And in his free time he does magic research.

Well in the USA, if you live off a Ramen Noodle diet, you can survive off 4 people on a single salary. Though you may have high blood pressure as a result, it is still possible.

Hahaha. Although the humor and epicness is down a notch this episode (for the obvious cool-down episode), this episode was still quite good. Didn't think Maou would get scared over rumors of all things.

So there are three people living in one apartment... and a new neighbor (who is obviously Ente Isla-related).

Like the updated OP, although it spoiled the addition of the character introduced at the end of the episode. And it officially proclaims Lucifer as 'one of the gang'. Seems like Lucifer must have done similar things in the past, because Maou wasn't worried, or anything, at all.

Yep, the only thing he can't afford to lose is his gameboy console

Oh, and his mysterious grin upon informing Maou to give a visit at Chi-chan school as if saying "I can already see the ending"

To quote Kamisama no Memochou (because who needs serious sources?):

Quote:
“The term NEET refers to neither to ‘useless people’ nor to ‘lazy people’”. It was those words that that detective said to me. “The only difference lies in the rules. While everybody seems content using the board to play checkers we play chess instead.”
Quote:
“You misunderstood NEETs from a fundamental level. The second E in NEET is Employment, being employed by someone. My occupation is a personal enterprise, so I’m not employed.
He's not in Education, Employment or Training. He's a NEET. Though technically he's too old, but he doesn't look it.

Well, Ashiya did have a job before, but both of them had been fired at the time so now he's been tasked with research and house chores.

I know what NEET means. And for that matter, I also know that to be qualified as a NEET you have to be either single or not involved with domestic work, depending on which definition we use. (Otherwise housewives and stay-at-home moms would be also NEETs.) Now, Ashiya's marital status is debatable (ha :3) but he's definitely involved with domestic work. So...

("House-husband" is in fact his official job description.)
