Meh, you can get it for less at a few other sites - I know at least one site has their price around $45 for the preorder. Of course this does not include shipping...><
Oh, and a fully functional zombie slaying capable bokken? I found one that's running around $250 at a martial arts shop. Expensive as all hell but damn, that thing can crack a cinder block...

Even though both me and my mom disliked how it had to end so soon and such a unclosed ending, we're hoping strongly for a second season. HotD has been my favorite series ever for a while now and my mom thoroughly enjoyed it. Besides the ending, the final episode was spectacular. I absolutely love how they animated every scene and it was all done so well. Rika looked amazing when the EMP occurred, she's so sexy. : D
I really can't say in words but I for one think the finale was amazing. They really know how to add great fillers, imo. There wasn't that much fanservice like other episodes but it was just great, I loved it. I teared up when Saya was in the humvee as it went past her dad and she screamed "papa" silently and he didn't turn to look at her and some pretty badass music played, and so did my mom. xD God, please a second season soon, the manga is so slow being bi monthly and 30 pages per chapter only, what? For being a really popular series, it should have a lot more. Also those pictures are so cool. D: God I want to live in Japan.

Act 12. All Dead's Attack
I'll return to reread the manga, because I forgot as to why the missiles were launched.
Spoiler:
I have to be honest that the twelfth episode reinvidicated by bringing back the action and gorefest from very first two episodes. Spoiler:
I do not want to get myself swayed by each opinion I happen to read along the way regarding HOTD. So here are my thoughts: Final Observations I don't think that HOTD is the best zombie production be it anime or not released, or at least the top-standing one. The serious suffered a lot at the middle when the seriousness of the survivor's guilt and need to survive was both overwhelmed and overshadowed for the sake of pulling ridiculous fanservice that went beyond the top or was an overkill to my viewing experience. I do not say that all fanservice served was ridiculous, but at least fanservice pertaining to Marikawa-sensei turned ludicrous to my taste. The first episode was memorable, because it delivered a hot punch with the sudden arrival of the zombies that threw Komuro's world upside-down, and the refusal of the several adult survivors the group encountered along the way at accepting the new state of the world. This last episode delivered most of that, and it was thanks to both Souichirou and Yuriko's deathmatch that made possible the great action. I do give thanks for this show to establish of all the main cast abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and personalities. But, I dislike how in the middle episodes the pacing, thriller, and action became stagnated. While HOTD is definitely not the best or #1 anime of this ending summer season, it certainly guarantees enough replay value for me to rewatch it for the upcoming Halloween season. This has been the second show I finished for the 2010 summer season. |

The reason it's bi-monthly is because the authors have another series they publish Triage X.
As for the bokken most decent ones start around the 70-80 dollar mark, for 250 it better be a authentically made one for actual martial arts usage to command that price. Man you guys are making me feel better when saying this or that is so expensive, I have a H&K MR556 on order and with all the accessories to make it like Rika's M-4 it's going to cost me in the neighborhood of $3,500.00 dollars. Not sure if I'll get the aim point sight like she had I prefer EO-Tech but we'll see. |

I know swords pretty well and the really expensive bokken that I saw (it was imported) - the wood was heavier and denser than a lot of the $80 bokkens for sale. The $80 bokkens look nice but they're made for light contact. Four to five zombies and it would be done. If you could have felt the other bokken, you'd know immediately that it was made for busting heads. I'm not saying that just anyone can crack a cinder block with it but at the very least you can leave a dent in someone's skull with that thing easily.

Ummm..... I thought bokkens/wooden clubs aren't that heavy designed for battles. AFAIK, the heavy ones you're saying are just for collection or ornaments. I don't know if someone's being able to manage the bokken of 7~10Kg that easily if it is intending to leave a dent in a skull
