I've never seen the first anime adaptation. I heard it was horrid.

If this one is indeed Maken Ki "Brotherhood", I'll be happy coz that means it will stick more to the manga.

Also for thoses who watch season 1, what do you think will they get new voices for the characters or keep the old ones?

Sorry Tench, it really doesn't give me much hope. Sure it'll probably be more brotherhood like as in it will be closer tied to the manga, but at the same time, even the manga of Maken-Ki I'm starting to find pointless. Hmm, a friend of mine just said, is it too much to ask for a AVN cast so the series has a closer relation to the author's roots? I answered him, it's gonna be tied closer to the manga and that's all you're getting, don't hold your breath-v-;;.

when its starting yes but later part it did good. Though the first part of the anime did stick with the manga too but deviated terra bad near the end

It will be good if they just skip up the fan service stuff and onto the fight and training arc.

Unfortunately I don't care much for the plot, even in the source material, but I am glad that the second season may have better art that matches the source.

The first season was complete crap with tons of mindless fanservice, uninteresting fights, pointless story, and worthless protagonist. If they wanna make sequel for it, i bet it will be the same gutter trash

In fact they do. I want to see lots of tits and asses*, well drawn, and without the god damned light beams. To be honest, I watched the first episode of Maken-Ki! two fall seasons ago. It has amazing animation, but the censorship is so bad I dropped it after that. As far this new adaptation go, Hiraku Kaneko directing this one was good, since I liked Qwaser of Stigmata, but since Akio Takami is involved, this is the thing I'm worried about : I didn't mind the artwork of Kanokon and Ladies versus Butlers, and did a better job on Upotte! visuals, but I hope he wouldn't recycle the same designs for this new anime.

I only wish they at least follow the manga. And here I thought we will get to see another season of it. The MC only start becoming badass later on which is why I was happy when a second season was announced but it turn out to be an ova.
