This mean that they covered the novel in 7~8 chapters, which isn't a bad pacing (compared to how rushed the anime was).

There it also seems to be a another adaptation labeled Ore ga Iru@at comic , done by another artist. I'm not clear on which is the difference compared to the other manga adaptation, the story seems to be the same. This is different from the 4' adaptation which has a new name (It's a 4', but my romantic comedy is wrong as I expected? )

I don't think it will ever be explained, they are afterall, just names. Ask their parents .

I am more curious why Haruno is Haruno and not Yukino.
It makes a little more sense to name your 1st child Yukinoshita Yukino, then your second Haruno.

(ofc, the name Haruno (using the character for sun instead of snow) wouldn't match her personality)

Nope.
But I half suspect her original request would be something like "become friends with Hikki" or "get closer to Hikki" or "I want Hikki to have friends" where the cookie making is just an excuse, then carried on as a medium to connect the two of them.

Yukino's remark early on about girls telling each other who they like to "mark their territories" lingers on my mind.

Hachiman saved Yui's dog from being ran over by the car Yukino is in at the start of the school year.

Her dog has a special attachment to Hachiman, even asking "who are you?" @Yui (according to the dog translator app) when she went to pick him up after leaving the dog @ Hachiman's place for a few days.

At least given what has happened before the start of v1, Yui should at least have some interest (not necessary romantic) in becoming Hachiman's friend, who is obviously a loner. I am guessing his -_- face and not caring attitude made him very difficult to approach.

Yui implied to Hachiman she will take on a more active role (at least that is how I decrypted her lines) some time in v6. Indeed she scored some cute moments (holding onto him while visiting a haunted house) in v7.

Where'd you find that chapter(manga)? I've been looking for it for weeks...

The @Comic follows the novel art more than the big gangan version. And it's pretty fast in terms of pacing.

I haven't seen the raws, but rather I have found some blogs that review episodes and stuff. Do google image search of the manga titles in japanese (it doesn't matter if it's either monologue or @comic, both will do), you'll start bumping into review of the pages. Some blogs don't use too many images, though.


BTW, I have noticed that at the @comic the characters don't use a "too rude" tone (like, no b***h calling). Perhaps for that reason the other version is called "sharp tongue record" (妄言録) or something

I'm not that fond of the @comic art, but there are some really good expressions there.

Eh... I always had a feeling that Yui intended to make cookies for Hachiman from the very beginning. That's why she couldn't tell her "friends": because Hachiman is unpopular and no one would ever approve of it.
