Well, I was taking some night pics last saturday night, and one of them turned out like this
(Click on the pic to see the largest version )

In fact I was in a car, that's why the lights have been turned like this ^^; The sparkling lights you can see in the background are the lights of the Eiffel Tower

Ah! Another flood! How can I hope to keep up with this?

Okay here goes. I hate leaving anyone out.

Flash_Squirrel : Public transport!! Ahhhhhh!! My sympathies! Well if you ever get a chance, consider a shot
hinata-chan : Good close in there! I have a few flower ones below, hopefully these will be similarly colourful!
Hellychan : Glad you liked it That long exposure (did you do this with a digital?) looks particularly effective around the Eiffel tower! The lights are almost particulate, seeming to 'wave' around the tower itself. Beautiful.
Uzumaki626 : Very placid looking waters there! Perhaps a little more in the scene to add 'depth' would have been nice but I'm just as guilty of doing that myself . I wouldn't mind seeing (or swimming) in water like that more often but I actually prefer our rough, altogether more rocky coastal areas here in the UK
Dark_Voodoo : Looks a bit closer to our kind of water Darker and altogether more rough than those almost tropical shots earlier. Who's the deadly Siren?

Ooh. Some more B&W Autumnal shots Esperchld! The detail is exceptionally good!

Okay. Now for some Macros (and Super Macros) - Now including EXIF information (on the thumbnails only). Click for large versions - the leaf shot is particularly good in large format but be warned that it is huge! These were very much experimentations so plenty of room for improvement. I just need a nice sunny day!

Boo! Can't seem to create mouseover links to the second column of images! I'm sure the smart ones among you will be able to work out how to get to them.... if you're so inclined.

-gasp- dot_rain! I hope you arent serious. That is a classic misconception and negative steryotype that is putting bats in danger ;_; 60-70% of bats eat insects...like the 2 I took pictures of (note the mealworm) and are very important to the eco system by keeping bug populations down. Each bat can consume 600 mosquitos an hour!

Only 3% of known species are 'vampire bats' and they live in rainforests where people rarely see them (except now that their habitat is being cut down and replaced with cattle -AKA easy prey, thier numbers are on the rise)

So dont be scared of them!! you should love the bats ;_;

-a-hem- anyway..beautiful pictures again everyone!!

Ah, the wonders of nature right in front of my apartment. Both images are of yesterday night and the night before. First, a foggy night:

And just yesterday, a 6-hour blackout:

Darn that uploadit.org. My pictures are gone. It's been a long time since anyone has posted here. I would love to see more nice photos here, especially of nature. I'll try to take some too and find a site to host them.

Wow you guys have some amazing photos. I went to the Grand Canyon last week and just thought I would share a couple of pics. Although none of them are really spectacular photos.

The Camera is a Cannon Powershot G2 digital camera.

Doesn't the rock formation in the middle of this pic below remind you of a pyramid or temple? Thats why I like it.

So and old thread has been revived. Well I'll post some pics of my own. These were taken while I was in Europe and since most of he pics here are landscape themed i'll post those types.

I took this one while I was on a boat coming back from some island in Italy I forget....

These were taken on top of Mont Blanc

PS these were taken with a Canon Power Shot A300 and these pics were sized down significantly ok then.

PSS here are the links if you can't see them
pic 1, pic2, and pic 3
