Yes i do remember all those characters - my job was to vote for the main ones. The ones you're mentioning aren't characters that don't stick with the story - they only appear for one arc.

Adding Chachazero is a good idea though. :3

Are you sure you don't want to include Takane and Mei, though? I only mention those two because Takane and Mei are actually in the manga a lot more than several who were included (like Anya).

True, but if you think about it, characters like Albireo have more panel time then characters like Nagi, Anya, Nakane, and Konoemon combined XD

Her arc just happens to be the first. Unless she gets some serious time in episode 7 (and I guess she might). Though I'm hardly going to complain about the inclusion of Anya, whom I actually like.

Did you leave out Shizuna-sensei (the school nurse/councillor) on purpose as well?

I don't think including the full known manga characters is a good idea. Limit it to those characters introduced in the first Negima TV series, any (?) new characters introduced in the current Negima!? series and the manga both series are based on (but not beyond the known anime story arcs).

One I would consider adding is a grown up Evangeline (pre-confined).

Nope, i wanted to add her - but she herself isn't in the new series. Its a bit confusing for newcomers to the series if we add characters like that. Still, she is pretty amazing. :3

How about a topic for the now mentioned live action drama? For a opening post:

Its been mentioned over at Anime News Service that Negima shall be adapted into a live action drama.

There's a huge "OH NO" surrounding all this, but the basic story is a 10 year old wizard travels to Japan to teach a class full of 31 female students. That alone could work as a live action --- and people would enjoy that, its just everything else that happens in the manga, that i can't see working. I can see casting not being a problem, but then again i can't see the characters hair styles not crossing over. Though you've gotta be a crazy fool to see that working. :3

I'll probably check this one out when the time comes, just to see whats been done for the series to work as live action drama.. though i won't be seeing the characters i love.

It's tough to create a thread when nobody has translated that news. Until someone translates that announcement how can we be sure that this isn't some sort of misunderstanding. (With other series, I've seen such misunderstandings based on "translations" by people who only recognized every third word.)
