When I first heard the name I was reminded of Zombie Powder when I read NeoSam's introduction I was drawn to this series. Its seems very interesting I liked the concept eagerly waiting for the subs : D

Well after the first episode I have to say I came away with mixed feelings. I can atleast say I can see myself coming to like the show, but in general the first episode felt alittle stiff. The visuals sometimes had abit of a awkward feel to them especially with the scene's involving the dog...
Ah yes cant forget the OP music either... Still going to give it atleast 2 or 3 more episodes before making my mind up about it all.

Ep 1
I didn't think that was terrible, but I didn't think it was great either. "Generic" sums it up nicely, particularly the premise. The fight scenes were very poorly executed, though. I do like that they've put a certain amount of effort into creating a creepy atmosphere, though, but that's about the only significant positive I have from the first episode (although, first eps are never a great gauge for an anime). Characters... well, we don't know enough about them yet, so I can't really form an opinion. Michiru is cute, though. I'll watch, but given the generic premise, it's probably fair to have limited expectations. But, who knows... it may surprise all of us yet. Edit: By the way, Zombie-Loan? Who the hell comes up with these names? And I thought "Pumpkin Scissors" was bad...

Hm, not too sure what to make of this yet. As Sorrow-kun said, "generic" sums it up pretty nicely. I will watch at least a few more episodes, but i can see myself dropping the show. Once again i come to the conclusion that a dark theme + comedy just doesn't work, as it completely ruins the mood and atmosphere of the show. (At least for me). So far looks average at best, but we shall see.

Volume 8 of the shounen manga Zombie-Loan was released in June 2007.
Shounen manga. Serialized in the shounen manga magazine GFantasy. I see myself dropping this show too, but I'll try a few more episodes before doing so.

Fresh after watching episode 1:
I don't know why, but it seems to be rather chaotic for me (maybe because it was a flashback of Michiru before her 'dying'). A few times between some new scenes it felt like something was cut off I must admit that I watched this episode only because it's Peach Pit, the theme of the show sounded pretty interesting, but it turned out to be rather average. I'll watch a few more ep. and see how all of this will work out.
