The truth is that the foreign market distributers didn't do their homework when it came to Narutaru. Its pretty obvious by chapter two of the manga version that things aren't quite what they seem and I would recommend you check out the Aerial fight sequence in the manga that was missed out from the Anime.

As for the Anime series this is deliberately misleading.........

The manga wasn't cancelled but due to the extreme scenes in Ep 12 & 13 of the Anime (which were far more graphic in the manga) translation of it was in France.

Kids station is a "pay to view" channel and Narutaru aired very late at night.

As to how the foreign distributers could have done their homework a bit better check out the author (Mohiro Kitoh)'s first published work, a selection of short stories titled "Wings of Vendemiare" http://iceeyes.cheetaweb.com/projects.php?id=56

This title has not been licensed to date and has been scanslated in its entirety. The tone is VERY similar to narutaru's (without the hyper genki main character). If you come away from this thinking pokemon.............you need help.................

Narutaru officially ended its run in "Afternoon" a few months ago, November or December, I think. I know cus I have that issue and was pretty sad at seeing Narutaru end. I think there's plenty of material for a second season of anime, if they wanted one.

And Narutaru is serialized in a young adult men's manga monthly; it's not designed or written for kids.

At last someone who likes it *does little dance* its just every1 seems to dislike it who ive spoken to, but it can be very misleading like the first ep seems like a kiddy show, with cute little alien friend kinda like ET but then it starts to get darker and spwooky.

There have been threads on that too, there is no Season 2. They are rerunning season 1.

This is one of my favorite shows, too. I also recommend the manga. Known as "Shadow Star" in America.

Well, considering that there's enough people out there who are confusing season 1 with the rumored season 2, I can't even be sure if the stuff I'm hearing on the rumor networks is true or not, but there has been info on them actually doing a season 2. I just can't say if that's valid anymore or not. I do hope it is though.

I'm sort of relieved that there isn't a second season and not because I hated this anime but it was really disturbing that I coudln't think straight for a two days. Damn Animenfo's description made it sound like it was a light hearted anime. Damn them!
