I don't know, the MC nervousness and shy nature is quite natural because I think it's trying to convey the feelings of a social awkward teenager having problems with love due to lack of confidence and inexperience.

I find him to be quite amusing but I must admit his nervousness is taken over the top a bit, since his interactions with Sana will possibly opening new windows for his change in development, it's still early and it'll be interesting how much he'll grow and mature during the course of the series.

The oneshot MC is reasonably less awkward because he was already knew who Sana is.

In the serialization, he was asked out on a date by not just a female stranger, but a female stranger whose reputation precedes her.

Yeah I noticed that too. I really enjoyed the one-shot to no end, but I like the actually series better because he doesn't know the girl, and his lack of confidence or experience in love or life in general really appealed to me, since he's technically an "underdog" protagonist.

That could have had something to do with it, and I'd would just leave it that if the MC's friends didn't go out of their way and tell us (the readers) just how socially awkward MC can get in normal circumstances.

Also, I think it's a matter of perspective when telling which is more embarrassing (dating a celebrity or dating a stranger).

Maybe it's one of their attempt to help the government to raise the birth rate in Japan. Manga is a good advertisement after all.

Read this and yea I like it alot.
The One shot is great stuff by itself, nice flow to things.
The Ongoing series is still pretty good thankfully, all too often alot of stuff ends up being worse off than than the oneshots.
I have to admit that the MC's "whimpy" side isn't that bad actually cause of the simple fact he blurts what he's thinking when he's nervous
Thats a rather nice spin to his character.

Art is pretty good as well which is a great plus.

Looking forward to more of this, could be a pretty damn good romcom, I just hope it doesn't let me down.

I agree, I truly like this protagonist because he has that "underdog" feel to him, and it's nice to see a nervous wreck of a male lead for a change. The romance, and story is really compelling, you can't get enough of it.

I enjoyed chapter 2, things are moving along nicely as any romance story should.

Now how do I describe Sana, she's totally and utterly adorable is one thing.
She can be shy but also pretty forward about things.
Point being Shouta is one lucky bastard being with such a cutie!

About Shouta, what I said about him before still stands, altho "wimpy", he goes with the flow pretty well.
A nice tough to this story is his friends, they a welcome surprise to things.

BTW how many chapters are there and is this monthly?

There are currently 5 chapters as far as I know because I have the raws. And from what I read and heard this is a weekly series.
