true to be told, that only way i can see esdese changing sides if she loose her memories, after all she like battle and torture down to her core, people who like peace won't allow that right? that's why they want to change their country

Is it just me or some people really overrate Esdese's importance in story? She is just general in the empire, government people are main antagonist. She will die much faster than story ending.

she's the empire's strongest...
one of the reason as to why the revolution army hasn't made any bolder move than simply assassinating pips...
Indeed the PM is primarily the main antagonist
but she's clearly a boss level on her own, not a mid boss but preferably a second last boss...
she wouldn't die yet... considering how OP she was and how there's no current character known in the series who can be a real match for her
except the aformentioned Budou who was said to be a match but hasn't made an official appearance...

He stayed behind to solo Esdese, and their was that big page spread of him pretty much telling tatsumi goodbye, whereas all Raba did was fall over and probably pass out.

Your really overating Esdese's strength.

She's not Hiko Seijuro XIII(Rurouni Kenshin), who can take on every character in his universe and win in 10 minutes.

After watching Braht fight, Nyau(member of the 3 beasts, and one of her direct subordinates), said that Braht was on the same level as Esdese, and among NR members Esdese herself commented that he needed special attention.

Esdese herself commented that suu was able to stand against her, and more then demonstrated that he was capable of doing so, and even forced her to use her trump card.

And Budou is flat out stated to be at the same level as Esdese.

Seriously, people she's strong of course, but she's not god.

And why would she just alll of a sudden snap when it's been shown that she's already more then in control of the danger beasts blood, and that it's effect of making people crazy doesn't work on her because she's already there?

And why would Esdese going crazy have any kind of relevance in the story whatsoever?

None of the characters would care except the jagers if they any of them are even still alive by then.

But this is all a moot point anyway, because Esdese wont last that long.

The only way to keep her alive is if she changes her way of thinking.

Well, at this point, we know nothing about the rebels' side except some words from Najenda. All we know is the NR, and they aren't the representative of those rebels. Najenda said they wanted to change the country for the better, but who can guarantee that's true. How could we know that those rebel's leaders really seek peace, not power or supremacy. Bunch of revolutions in France and Russia can give us enough examples.
What's more? If anyone who love battle deserve death then the world doesn't have that much soldier left...
