Well, Aoi's role is rather growing than shrinking. She's the heart and brain of the group, so yes, feats of raw strength will mostly be left to others. She'll never be a cutesy mascot though, she's rather Oga's designated match (if there's such a thing in shonen fighting) and a very active player.

You weren't doing a very good job of making that point when comparing her role to that of Tien and Yamcha (AKA, cannon fodder). :P

well hilda has strong motivation now... becouse her master and oga who is his contractor-parent were attacked by those demons that are working for En (not mention Aoi who is simply innocent and not involved in this)

when hilda was injured... bell was going to cry... I guess hilda cant forgive that those bastards made bell cry by using her beign all injured (pirced by spear and lieing down on the ground while bleeding)

later we could see that when hilda was lieing down in ogas bed after the fight... she said "sorry" (I guess her first sorry in her whole life) becouse she was too weak she couldnt protect him or bell.... I guess she has strong motivation now to show that she is not weak... and cant forgive that they made bell (who is now her only case of existance) cry and his life was in danger

as for oga... maybe that's his way of "a way to fight a demon is to use a demon" XD I wouldnt be supprised if he used alon as mace (oga is an evil bastard xD)

still its interesting to see that hilda kinda smiled when oga showed up... maybe a kind of relief that they are here and burn to fight while bell is safe and sound...

anyway another Oga-Hilda combo so they will show the strongest father-mother thing xD

That's the thing, I went back to the chapter and she didn't look exhausted to me. But anyway yeah I guess rage can lead to power. Just have to ignore the small details.

The fact that Hilda said she used up all her power is the only reason we need to know really. It explains why she's so damn powerful now.

well I guess she used all her power in that fight with satome (on that school gym roof)... yet satome mentioned that for a noncontracted demon she is very strong.... we can remember what hapapned when satome appeared next to hecatos guy... one punch and he flys away like trash xD so we could see the real power gup between hilda nad hecatos...

yet like we know hecatos backstabbed hilda when she was protecting aoi... so a cowardly way to hit unguarded back... but when hilda is not worried for others around like bell... she can go full out and front vs front fight without cheats and dirty tricks...

the thing what is makeing me wonder... is that furcus mentioned that hecatos spear has the ability to seal demonic power around the wound... well maybe if hilda used all her power she was nothing more than mere human so no powers to seal away... thats why she did not lose her power.... well hilda mostly rested well after those few days in bed so her powers regenerated ^^

yet hope to see more hilda ^^

Last chapter with Alain being used as a weapon was one of the funniest thing I seen manga, I really haven't laugh at a manga like that for long time! And this chapter doesn't disappoint as well in laughter with Alain.

Alain doesn't seem to make for much of a weapon, does he? Oga has definitely leveled up, and whatever surprise he has for us next chapter should be awesome... assuming we don't cut away. I would however like to see the results of my Aoi-chan's exorcism training... that should be sweet as well, since I'm getting the impression that no matter how quirky Behemoth is (and you just know he'll be quirky, if the Demon Lord is anything to go by...), they'll need all the firepower they can get __________________ Gifted...or Cursed?
