Well, yeah -- that was a commercial on one of the stations (Teletama, it looks like), but the show will actually air first at 1:35am on Sunday mornings starting on April 5th (a.k.a. 25:35 on April 4th). So it's under two weeks away at this point.

Wait, 1.35am???? I dont know alot about jp scheduling, I mean I know this isnt gonna be "happy fluffy" for kiddys, but after the lackluster performance of the games sales, a more watchable daytime timeslot for the anime might have benifited and more popularized the game.

The type of fans they want to attract usually watch anime at that time. It's nothing major at all.

That makes Valkryia sound a bit seedy lol i was just thinking if it were at 6-7pm it might have a higher chance atleast of bringing in some new people. oh well, atleast by the time the raw comes out it wont be night/early morning in england (in theory)

Some of them look a little different, but all of the anime designs look good so far, save for Selvaria looking a little weird. (but she might look better in motion)

Alicia and Isara look better in anime form.
Eh, I disagree with the Alicia and Isara part. I think they look very weird in anime form.

Yeah they've really tried to make them look cute.

In the game Alicia was petty but she wasn't cute. She had inner beauty! =D

Why... take Jann for example...

I really hope you mean pretty here. But I definitely think that in the game Alicia was very cute. Though I prefer the way Alicia looks in the game, I think anime Alicia looks pretty good too. To me, I think both game Alicia and anime Alicia look pretty AND cute. Can't wait for the series to start.

Alicia was absolutely adorable in the game. I can't see how anyone would say otherwise. Being voiced by Inoue Marina adds quite a lot of bonus cute points.

That's what I mean. She looked very cute in the game. The anime... I just get a really weird feeling from how she looks. Like, "wow, that looks nothing like her."

I don't know... if you ask me, it's obviously a different character designer, so the style has changed a bit, but it looks pretty similar. I think you just get used to whatever you saw first, for the most part. I sort of like both looks, personally.

I'm sure that's part of it.

I guess I just am not really liking the art style of the anime in general. I hope I get used to it because I am really looking forward to this.

On a completely unrelated and off-topic note: OMG the new Animesuki banner with the Big Dango Family is so cute. I had not previously noticed that if it's not actually new. Is there a way to get a copy of that without taking a screen cap? EDIT: Never mind, found it.

The Valkyria Anime website released a new PV today! We get to see Rosie, Largo, and even *GASP* Selvaria in action!!!

http://www.valkyria-anime.com/specia...90324pv_m.html

Too bad my university's wireless network seems to jam online video streaming. I can only view it with huge amounts of lag. But it's still AWESOME!!!

EDIT: Got to see the whole thing back home. Seems there were more cast members than I thought in the preview (i.e. Edy).

To those of you who have had any doubts about the visuals, put them to rest. The clips I've seen so far are GORGEOUS, and compare to the game's caliber.

Damn... Rosie looks so badass with her machine gun...

EDIT2: I just watched through the video again.
Spoiler for Characters:

Thanks for the post.

Do you have a bandwidth limit, too? We don't have a lot of stuff blocked (torrents are blocked) but we do have a bandwidth limit. It used to be only 2 gigs/week but fortunately it's now 4 gigs/week since this time last year.

Unfortunately at my University right now it's peak usage hours so I'll have to wait a few hours until my download speeds are back to normal and I can see it all the way through.

Wow, its looking really slick, hopefully a quality they will maintain throughout X3 abit lame that we dont really get any footage untill about 80 seconds in. The backgrounds are simply glorious, the details everywhere even in the distance are fanstatic XD

i hope they mix in the game soundtrack responsibly also

Hitoshi Sakimoto (who worked on the score for Valkyria Chronicles) is back again for the anime. There's a chance it'll just be the games score, or like you said some new pieces and some original. Will be interesting to see which route he goes.
